I would imagin that the " new " Empanelment process has different parameters/requirements/objectives to achieve, to meet the required level of Empanelment, than any previous Empanelment processes.

The rules have changed from 5 years ago.

As far as CyanConnode is concerned, it is Schneider and Genus, at the moment, who seem to be CyanConnode's main meter manufacturing Partners, involved in the smart meter projects.

Schneider delivering on 3 projects. Schneider/Genus delivering on 1 project. Genus delivering on 4 projects. L&T ( Now Schneider ) delivering on 2 projects and El Sewedy/Elster and L&T delivering on 1 project.

So there has been some significant colaborations/partnerships forged over recent years, which have come more to the fore-front during the DistribuElec event.

Let us hope it bodes well for the future.

I have just noticed that I inadvertantly re-posted the same link that you had already posted, concerning the Grid Smart IoT Platform.

The last link that you posted from 2019 tells us that " SteamCo has expanded over the last two years, including deployments in Nigeria, Kenya and India ..... " So possibly since 2017, in each market.

So if they turn out to be, as you say, relevant to CyanConnodes market in India, I would think that the Empanelment process will tell us that.

Shell seems to be developing /deploying mini-grids/micro-grids. Also from your 2019 report, Mr. Brian Davis, Shell Vice President Energy Solutions commented:-

" Through its support of mini-grid operations, SteamCo is just one example of how Shell is moving towards its ambition to deliver a reliable electricity supply to 100 million people in the developing world, by 2030."

There is also a video that is worth looking at, within the 2019 link, for what Shell/SteamCo are contributing to. Namely the production and use of renewable energy.

Much like the comparison I made a few years ago, about India, where by the people living in rural India, would think that having a light-bulb was progress.

In Africa, renewable energy one year. A few years later, an electric car/truck, to go from village to village, or to collect water from the well, instead of children taking all day/half a day, having to go and fetch it. Who knows how far they will progress.

But an interesting project.

Some more information on SteamaCo, which started as an African-based mini-grod developer, in 2012.

It seems as though they provide a meter thay " ..... using data to solve the off-grid connectivity and pay-to-power challenges."

They do not say in the literature I have read, that I can see, what solution they provide/is required, but they have been/are involved with a project involving Shell, in 2017. The last update I can find, concerning meters, is from 2020, when SteamCo gave information that they had sold 55,000 meters in 10 countries.

There is other information available on Steama Co, on the " Drop-Downs " if you require it.

CESC Mysore, was one of early IPv4 installations, I seem to remember. CyanConnode have come a long way since then.

I think for the first time, in glancing through both documents, we have a more complete picture of who installed what and in which utility.

For confidentiality reasons there was sometimes a piece missing. It is good to get a more detailed overall view of the historic contracts and also the ongoing contracts, especially.

And the ongoing installation figures are looking encouraging, also.

I am also slightly puzzled that you do not seem to remember commenting on the Hardman report. As you commented on this specific subject, at the time.

But don't be puzzled on my account and getting concerned over me not being " upbeat." I have explained how I think the process will work, in my 18:30 post this evening, with the information we have received. I have learnt many things over the years as a shareholder, one is patience.

Another thing I have learnt over the years since being on a bb, is don't believe everything you read. You do not know who the individual posters are that you are communicating with, unless you have met them personally. And then it is down to your own judgement.

Doing your own research, is always the best way I find and making up your own mind.

But I am looking forward to getting " upbeat " as you put it. I am also looking forward to getting really excited, even more, at some time.

Hardman Report - 1st February, 2022:-

" These are critical observations which lead the Ministry to conclude that bids will only be considered from vendors that have proven their ability to deliver end-to-end prepaid solutions that are fully interoperable, with seemless connectivity and a success rate ( i.e. service level agreement, SLA ) of at least 99.5%. These are highly demanding parameters, which CyanConnode fulfils. We are unaware of providers that currently meet these criteria, but all will become clear on this front as the contract awards come through during calendar 2022."

The " market " has been aware of CyanConnode's position for some month's now. Or should have been. What I am sure the market and share-holders are waiting for, is the initial confirmation of the Empanelment process, to see which companies have qualified to be considered for the future tenders for smart meters. There may be some market activity around this time, if we qualify, which I am sure we will, but we will have to wait and see what happens.

When the orders for the smart meter tenders are then confirmed, for the successful qualified companies, I would suggest there will be some further market activity.

But we will have to wait and see how/when the news is made public.

As you say, I remember fondly, the " ...... earlier very basic stands " which were about five square meters in size, if they were that. Two people, a lap-top and a shed-load of leaflets and away they went. Those were the days.

But this DistribuELEC stand looks very impressive, I must say.
