" Bengaluru: With the target of setting up electric vehicles ( EV ) charging stations across Karnataka defined, the Energy Department is now holding talks with authorities of the national and state highways and Public Works Department to set up charging stations on highways. A department official said talks are also being held to identify land for setting up the stations. Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar said these are part of the target of setting up 1,008 charging stations across the state."

....... tonyj, as we have already been informed, is an ongoing/continuous process. We have been informed about Phase 1 and I have posted some information that seems to confirm the EmPanelment Process has progressed to a Phase ll. At the moment we do not know how many Phases there will be. As it is both " ongoing " and " continuous " there may be many different Phases, during the stages of the Smart Meter deployment.

Some firms may drop out for any number of reasons, that will need to be replaced. New firms may wish to enter the programme, with different technologies, at a later date, for consideration.

That is why the Empanelment Process is ongoing and continuous. In my view. A different Phase, does not neccessarily mean delays. Just that they have progressed to another Phase.

The report attached, on the EESL website, goes into some details about the Smart Meter National Programme ( SMNP ) and various projects that EESL has entered into.

There is no date attached to this report that I can see, but on the top right-hand side of the page, there seems to be a note that could have been added over the last couple of months or so, which reads:-

" Registrations Open for Channel Partner Program Empanelment Phase ll ( April 2022 - June 2022 ).

So there seems to be a " Phase ll " qualification/registration process event that is taking place between April and June, 2022.

There was an opinion put forward on ADVFN recently, with which I agree, about the Company's figures being more complicated to nail down this year. than they otherwise might have been in previous years, concerning closing stock, pre-payments, deferred income, etc., as far as a Trading Update is concerned and CyanConnode probably not wanting to rush figures out to pacify the market. Rather than wait until they are complete.

Looking back, there was a Trading Update last year, during April 2021, with the Final Results during August 2021, an AGM in Septenber 2021 and a Trading Update in October 2021.

So a Trading Update is still possible, I feel and the comments from ADVFN are worthy of consideration, in my opinion.

I would also like to see the AGM's/EGM's back to normal, where the Company and Share-holders can get back together again, at least for a brief time and the Company can answer any questions directly.

The meter manufactureres, that we definitely know about, from my point of view, are the ones we have worked with over a number of years, for the smart meter projects, so far. Namely Schneider Electric ( L&T ), Genus Power and El Sewedy.

I do not know how many exactly, CyanConnode have " .... on the books .... " but the Empanelment Process should clarify that situation. The more Partners CyanConnode have, the more opportunities CyanConnode should get. But it will depend, at the end of the day, on how big the RF market is initially, as to how many Partners CyanConnode will need and how many competitors there are, for that RF smart meter market in India.

But I can see where you are coming from.

Personally, I would prefere clarification on the 2021/2022 Year End figures, which we are waiting patiently for at the moment, along with any Trading Update.

Surely that will come first, before the first quarter 2022/2023 figures?

..... is going to be criticle for a number of Companies. As far as CyanConnode are concerned, the number of Partners that CyanConnode are partnered to, that have a successful and proven combined smart meter/solution that is acceptable, the better chance they have when it comes to bidding for tenders.

Schneider Electric ( including L&T ) and Genus Power, we have been informed, seem to be leading the pack so far, with the number of meters/nodes successfully supplied and installed, at the moment. There may be others.

And we will be able to assess the further involvement of CyanConnode, in the future smart meter process, when this Empanelment news is revealed and how big the RF market in India, could be.

How/when that will eventually happen, is yet to be revealed.

Not sure on the AGM question, Inthetin. But looking back to last year, the 2021 Results came out on August 6th, 2021, then there was an Investor Presentation on August 10th, 2021 and the AGM, was held under restrictions, on September 15th, 2021.

So until the actual news-flow of events during the Summer are revealed and with the Empanelment Process ongoing, we will have to wait and see, as the saying goes.

But it seems to be shaping up to be an interesting and eventfull Summer. Hopefully, in a good way.

As we are aware, the TNEB has probably played a big part in shaping the development of Cyan(Connode) with the " lodging " of the original tender for the TNEB.

So it is good to know that the perseverance of the CyanConnode senior management has paid off with the development of the right solutions and products, that has eventually given what we hope will be the first of future orders from TANGEDCO.

....... recapping the RNS's from December 2019 and January 2020 and fastforwarding to May 2022, we can see that these two RNS's were related to the TANGEDCO, or Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd.
