Good posts here. Particularly combatting the assertion that controlling the share price is the prime focus of a BoD. If that's the case what is the prime focus of the board of a non quoted company I wonder?
I am trying not to follow the SP too avidly. I am happy with the fundamentals, warts and all, as pointed out by Pdub, and increasingly happy to keep my shares in the bottom drawer and await for the BMN story to unfold, hopefully successfully.

I agree with your words. Like it or not we need to be pragmatic and give Putin a way out of this with his pride intact else increasingly arbitrary destruction and massive death will result. No one likes appeasement but what alternative is there with this madman, he is untouchable by force due to the nuclear arsenal he commands which of course AH didn't.
Will the accounting standards for the planned exit from Rosneft result in declared losses this financial year, in spite of the cash generated by the historically high PoO? I am thinking ahead to the likely political pressure for a windfall tax resulting from apparent huge annual profits early 2023, such as the calls we saw earlier this year - 2 years in a row may be hard to resist with domestic energy prices doubling and more.

I read your replies and its clear that I read your post in a context that you didn't intend, you and I seem largely in agreement re the (sadly continuing) awful situation in the East.
No one likes appeasement due the shadows left by events in the 1930s. But the question of appeasement takes a new angle where multiple thousands of nuclear warheads are part of the equation.
I too agree, if I now understand you, that the West have dug this hole far deeper than perhaps it could have been. With a monster like Putin at the helm there had to be a way for him to escape with his head held high and proud, else the result is simply destruction. We in the West slammed that door shut, smugly thinking we are all powerful in our ability to bring this dictator down through sanctions and weapons supply. Without some sort of uprising against him internally this will just be a long war of attrition. The losers here are not only Ukrainians but ordinary Russians who will lose their place in the world for a generation - in fairness this is not their doing, and I have sympathy with them as they are pretty powerless unless they like prison food or worse.
Back on the context of Hyve, the continuing decline in the prospect of a ceasefire adds weight to the wisdom of Hyve's focus away from Russia, though I do wonder if there will be problems collecting the monies for the sale of the Russian business unit.

I have just had a quick look at your posting history - quick because I soon became bored. Have you ever posted anything with any actual content which showed an appreciation of situation of the company you were commenting on?

Sorry things have turned to uncertainty. I put a little in here recently, and exited today with a smallish loss of a few hundred, not wanting to hold and risk a few thousand if it goes to the wall. Feel for those with a lot invested (I have suffered elsewhere before!).

Agree Foz. As you may remember I'm not a chartist, but a non analytical casting an eye over the chart isn't very inspiring. A proper determined downtrend.

Interesting comments, and from the quick perusal I gave of the RNSs I hadn't appreciated the fact that only current holders at the time of suspension date would qualify for any litigation settlement. I have about the same number of shares as Tommo, so it would be nice.

We have chatted before! Think we are all in here for the same reason now, its a punt, rather similar to having an each way on an outsider in the Grand National!
Only just noticed the last couple of RNSs, and my initial reaction is that it is a pretty desperate act. Acquiring an unrelated business, or maybe I am wrong and glass fibre housing is usually kitted out with marble flooring, swathes of tiles, work surfaces and maybe the odd grandiose marble water feature? I somehow doubt it.
CG seems a straight, honest and genuine man who spends his life ******* in the wind because he is utterly out of his depth and living in fantasy land. Try this, no this, how about this, this will be good...... I only invested a grand or so (at 1.3p ish) this time round (I have previous) just in case the litigation comes off. It may, or at least a lesser compromise on the amount claimed reached on the justifiable basis that the company is so inept that they would probably never have been more than barely profitable anyway.
The original business is potentially viable but I am far from convinced that the current team has any chance of ever making it work.
Lastly, in case anyone thinks I am the board cynic, that would be because I am the board cynic!!

Would have suspected that the additional sanctions would have threatened to take Russian Vanadium out of the market for longer and hence provided BMN with a boost. But clearly what do I know?

Although an obvious statement I think it will depend how well it goes! When Kiziltepe was constructed there were delays caused by site problems. This construction is more modest as final processing is to be completed after being trucked to the existing plant (at least that is my understanding), so should be thrown up as quickly as a Persimmon house.
Maybe more will come out of the interview this morning. I signed up for that but forgot about it and told my mate I'd change his bike chain at 10. As you can tell I really know how to live. Will catch up on it later on.

Just re read. An awful lot has got to happen very quickly in order for construction to commence other than at a trivial level in Q2 2022......considering that we are already in Q2 2022!
I will happily eat a hat if I'm wrong (hat type suggestions welcome) but this sounds like another deadline likely to be immediately broken. AAU should realise, if they care anymore, that shareholders have cottoned onto this.

I read little to report tbh. Still waiting on permissions, finance still being arranged, a plant to be both built and commissioned for production in Q1 2023 according to a presentation published 4 months ago.

This is good news for the company. As previously stated I exited at the start of the conflict but will certainly give thought to re-investing now the Russian business is to be exited and the smaller residual appears to be trading stongly.
