At the risk of reiteration I cant see any reason why this is underperforming an already weak market. As far as I am aware there is no significant exposure to Eastern Europe which is the reason for similar underperformers (an which in their case is understandable). The fact that Ricardo is involved in green technologies that the imposition of Russian sanctions will, if anything, accelerate early take up of makes if even more confounding.
I think this is my worst investment!

Agree HarChris, gearing. The margin more than doubles as costs are unlikely to rise at the same rate ( though I have to assume the appalling situation in Ukraine, and Russians sanctions, will increase costs)

True to my word I joined your happy throng on Thursday at 173p after (what appears at least) they hit the bottom. Only 3000 shares but its a start.

Trouble is no one really believes the AAU board the way they did.
I can forgive slippage on distant time estimates. Be silly not to when certain milestones are dependant on local or national governmental bodies whose timeliness cannot be predicted.
But what gets me these day is the shorter timescale estimates, which are just put out as if we are too dumb to remember or in future question.
Only 3 months ago in December we were told that Tavsan would be in production in Q1 2023. Here were are trundling towards April 2022. Is financing announced yet? No. Has any initial work been done on the production facility? No. Now clearly I cannot categorically say that the Q1 2023 deadline wont be met as we are not there yet, but I am definitely suspicious.....
When does a prediction in a presentation get dismissed as a bare faced lie?

Having read the RNS and seen the drop I was confused at the severity of the SP decline. I interpreted it this same way, keeping shareholders up to date about a short delay. Negotiations take time, especially in these weird days

Agree, very positive. The performance payments are a bit eye watering for something that is essentially a year old start up but I assume the T&Cs of those payments are pretty stringent. Would like to have seen something more positive about exiting Russia, any company not doing so at the moment is opening themselves to critisism, besides which I cannot imagine Russia is much of a profit centre currently or in the foreseeable future - but then again Hyve isn't a household name so less important than for BP, Maccy Ds etc etc .
Be interesting to see what the market makes of this, could go either way.

I'd like to see that the IPO has been cancelled and AAU will take over 100% of the Cyprus JV, I suspect that is just wishful thinking

I do sometimes wonder if BOD buying means much except that they are trying to convey confidence and stop a downwards spiral (which can happen even in healthy companies).

Despite my 'free' BCN related shares I'm now making a loss.
Hoping this drop wont fuel itself due to the need to raise further capital in a higher interest rate world/ difficulty with placings with a low SP.

ps part of the 'About' part of the website seems to have been taken down. I wont attempt to read anything ominous into that, more that maybe they are revising the geographical spread of their operations?

I think Hyve has to totally sever links with Russia, not just on moral grounds but on business too - how successful will hosting exhibitions in Russia be in the short to medium term? Certainly not worth the bad press.
As previously stated I was an ITE investor a decade ago, and Hyve recently but got out when the threats became so real in mid February. I will probably invest again but will need to look at the other markets in which it operates and whether there is any political threat there.

This is off topic but I agree with you.
The lack of humanity is depressing. Reports of cutting off electricity in sub zero temperatures, and starving civilians of water and food is utterly despicable, sickening.
While I think there may be some misinformation in reporting even from sources we hope are reliable, I am now harbouring a genuine hatred for Putin and his yes men. Compared to the plight of Ukrainians my ailing share portfolio is of no consequence.
