My understanding re India in particular is that the products are technically superior and are also cheaper than competitors - hence the occasional references to "being snatched out of our hands". To have the the two largest meter manufacturers as partners, in a market where power "losses" are 23% of output, should position CC very well indeed. Business in India is notoriously slow but, if you were running a utility with 23% losses and an easy way to reduce those losses via metering, it becomes a commercial no-brainer.
Similarly there was a very switched-on Aussie at the AGM who deals with Thailand, Indonesia etc (not quite sure of name/role....perhaps someone here knows. Linked to E&Y or similar, I think.) Power losses in those markets, I'd suggest, aren't much less.
It will be interesting to see what the Asian Utilities event throws up.
