Just got back from a 3 week holiday in Spain, flew EZJ there and back - plane was full there and back not a spare seat to be had, timings very good and service as always very good - I was talking recently to a friend who has worked in the airline industry at a higher managerial level for over 30 years and joined EZJ a few years ago - she said the holiday business was going in her words from "strenght to strength" - imo the holiday business isn't even factored into the EZJ valuation atm - 27th Nov for FYR and I personally would not want to be short when they are announced - expect the sp to move north from here

Decided to trim this morning at 192.4p ahead of the results

I said on here the other week that the share will be bought back in the lead up to results - nobody wants to be caught cold on good results - this is playing out right now in front of your eyes - looks like Citi and HSBC agree - big calls these only a few days before the results next week - follow the money - dyor etc

Citigroup raises Direct Line Insurance to 'buy' (neutral) - price target 223 (208) pence

HSBC raises Direct Line Insurance price target to 205 (200) pence - 'hold'

I think the market is finally starting to realise along with Mr O Leary that there is plenty of money in peoples pockets to facilitate a yearly holiday - it is almost sacrosanct - EZJ still way undervalued - imho the holiday section of EZJ is not even being valued atm - I have added all the way down here as I am sure you are aware from my previous posts - now in profit with plenty more to come down the pipe as interest rates are cut both sides of the atlantic in the push for growth - gla dyor etc

Just added a few more at 360p - for me this is a long term play and by long term I mean 1-2 years - the share price will always be controlled by the shorts during periods where there are no announcements from Ocado and that is something I am prepared to accept and I will add accordingly to average my position - home delivery will not go away anytime soon - my kids all get their weekly shopping delivered - most of the younger generation I know don't want to spend time and money queing up to purchase something they know they want - I personally don't want to do this anymore - Ocado will dominate this sector of the market in future years - you can see this playing out now in terms of the NIQ data today with Ocado again enjoying the fastest growth over the 12 weeks to Aug. 10 with sales up 14.3%, - I have seen Ocado vans in my street for the first time ever and in the surrounding area - other retailers simply cannot compete on a staff vs robots basis and Ocado will simply mop up the residue - in the meantime I will wait and add on weakness

Regretting selling half my holding yesterday but good profit on the remaining half this morning - well done to all the lth's on here - starting to look good at last

It is a buy JJ long term (and at the right price) - if it was a sell I would have sold my entire holding - it is never wrong to take a profit old chap which is what I have done here - yes enjoying the weather and long may it continue.

Added at 134.2p - Bharti knows a hell of a lot more than we do about what is coming down the pipe - nobody spends that much money unless they know there is huge potential going forward - the spread on this purchase was at 0.02 which tells me there is plenty of interest at this price - lets see

I reduced my holding by 25pct yesterday - I think MKS along with other retailers may well be affected by the erratic summer weather - quite a few items left over on the shelves vs previous years which may well impact on the bottom line - food will do well but with MKS it is always about the clothing and its margins

Decided to sell half my holding this morning for an 11pct profit - wait for the results tomorrow and make a decision on what to do with the remainder depending on the results - gla dyor etc

I suspect there are a lot of sell orders at 500p so need to absorb these then continue upwards imho

I think you have to put the current share price into perspective - the share was trading at around 170p only last week - when Ageas bid for DLG the price was 163p and subsequently rose to around 222p two weeks later - Ageas was pitching at 233p a share - the short sellers (Qube and Gladstone) have steadily decreased their positions since March - plenty of upside here - they like me know that insurance is a licence to print money right now - for me this will play out in the results on the 4th and short positions will continue to decrease accordingly fueling the rise for DLG pre results day - lets see

Decided to sell my holding this morning which I bought last week at 68.35p - sold at 74.35p so an 8pct profit which in a week is not too shabby - not much upcoming news here with results in Nov and the merger decision put back to Dec and a Labour Gov favouring public rather than private sector - so on balance I feel selling is the best option for me at this moment in time. - gla dyor etc

"Any reason for the big drop today? Most supermarkets and retailers are up!" - MKS seen as expensive so any inflationary rise makes them more expensive - that is the takeaway here I think - pretty meaningless imho as the MKS demographic have the money anyway so not really relevant as MKS not competing with the likes of Aldi, etc.

Agree Jumbo - I have been adding all the way down, last buy at 172p but averaging around 176p - for me this gets bought back heavy before results day on the 4th Sep - signs of this playing out this morning

Read an article in the Times at the weekend saying background activity in takeovers and mergers in the UK was peaking atm - as interest rates both sides of the globe are about to decrease there may never be a better opportunity for companies to increase their individual growth via a takeover/merger than right now - MCG must surely be in that category at this price - lets see
