Re renting vs purchasing - same in my area - rents are through the roof - the key to a housing market turnaround though is when rents become higher than the monthly mortgage payment when purchasing on a like for like basis - lenders are reducing rates atm - for the turnaround to take effect the house prices need to stagnate or drop a little and lenders need to reduce rates until it becomes cheaper to have a mortgage than rent - then you will see a turnaround big style -

I bought in at 898p around 30 minutes ago - you would have to think that with FYR coming up next week the directors would know a lot more than we do with regards to what is in the results - imo they have dropped this in now rather than in with the results to prevent an even greater algo reversal - lets see

Had a look at the M and S womanswer collection just out - it is selling big time - augurs well for the results coming up - will depend on the margins eroded on the summer stock - this is my main concern with the results - it will come down to clothing margins/sales/profit as it always does with MKS.
