Frontera/Nicandros article 1/6/2620 Jun 2026 21:34
Bit of info on what’s happening at the fields as well.
“ To find out if Frontera is still working on the deposits of Block 12, we went to Dedoplistskaro. When we talked to the locals on the way, they told us – “Frontera has been shut down, it is no longer there.”
We also reached the Taribani deposit with questions. We were met by representatives of the Oil and Gas Corporation on site. They said that Frontera was no longer operating and that the state company was continuing its activities.
"It's a state-owned company, it used to be 'Fronteras', it left here a long time ago and the management was transferred to the oil and gas corporation. I don't have the right to say more. If you reach an agreement with the top and they allow you to film or record something, well, sir... we can't let you in like that," a representative of the corporation told us.
We encountered a similar picture at the Mirzaani field. There, too, we were confirmed that Frontera had gone out of business and that only the Oil and Gas Corporation was continuing operations. “They took one year’s debt and left. Then we had nothing left to do but repair,” an employee of the Oil and Gas Corporation told us on the spot.
We couldn't find any traces of Frontera in Samgori or Patardzeuli either – “There are both active and inactive wells here, but 'Frontera' is no longer there. They basically had deposits in Taribani, then they went bankrupt and fled, they left altogether…,” said a person working at the Patardzeuli deposit.
In addition to him, other employees also confirmed to us that another company is now operating on site, not “Frontera.”
