Scancell Holdings Share Price (SCLP)

The first time I posted on here, I said that I had invested in Scancell because I couldn't see any red flags, and it presented a very good investment thesis. That isn't saying it doesn't have risk - any share-holding has that. It means there isn't any stand-out problems... That remains the case.

I have shares in other companies that I will trade. Those companies are subject to very significant speculation, and that means that even if there are red-flags, I can look at the market cap, and say "that's a good price", knowing that I am unlikely to hold for long, and there is some "fat" if the proverbial stuff hits the fan. That isn't the case with Scancell. I bought about 12/18 months ago, and I haven't sold any yet. This is a relatively large cap share that is, in my view, a long-term hold. I would say to anyone who finds it frustrating holding Scancell - just look at other companies to trade in the meantime... There are plenty of opportunities to do that, whilst leaving your Scancell holding intact.

I think Redmile are the key to what happens next. If they want a return on investment now then an outright sale or major cash injection from a partner is what they will push for.

If Redmile think Scancell can become the next BionTech because of the depth and range of platforms and potential markets, they may want to continue the journey.

I think everything hinges on producing the right amount of finance to power all aspects of Scancell’s pipeline. To go it alone will require some serious investment and also needs the money to be coming from highly respected sources.

Finally, if what Scancell is creating is really that disruptive to the current incumbent large Pharma companies one of them will step up and buy part or all of the company.

We have arrived at a critical point in the development of Lindy’s vision of a cancer free future.

I'd be far happier to keep government involvement out of Scancell - politicians chase votes, not profit. And of a major wants in, then fair enough but if they won't pay enough then with the connections that Vulpes and Redmile will have, combined with the current geography of immunotherapy, then going independently is very appearing.

Interesting article .. Did you see the parliamentary committee meeting ? What struck me was that Phil was congratulated enthusiastically that scancell had got to phase 3 ready just with the support of a few faithful investors ..

I have never been under the impression that scancell could take any of their Intellectual property all the way to commercialisation …… but I’m not so sure now … ??? Sure they will need ‘help’ .. but even a 10 or 20% dilution the rewards could be enormous ..
