"Why regret CCL. What did you pay?
I’ve got £55k in at 850 🙏"
I bought before COVID, say no more (insert small picture of person crying)
What did you know, it just dropped to 430p? No idea why.
How's that going to affect the markets tomorrow and going forward?
Sliced again today at 438p just to raise some cash for other buys on acc .
Since my last slice ( 428p ) three months back topped at 429p 8th April after small retrace , pulling back to a further 395p on 19 April.
Hindsight my top up target of 370p never going to action.
Over 2700 posts in the 56 days since I last posted , approx 48 per day.
If this was a small cap I would suspect pumping .
Not totally convinced we'll get to 462 but I'd love to be proved wrong. I'm putting a few quid on a rise tomorrow via IAG with a short stop but I'm nowhere near as convinced for a rise as I was back in February on the eve of final results.... GLA.
It hit a new high of 439.5 - is this not exciting especially before the AGM tomorrow?
Well today is just ‘Mehhhh’ kind of day with not much happening in the market.
Except for May by in the Crypto world.
Why regret CCL. What did you pay?
I’ve got £55k in at 850 🙏

As we all seem to be in a chatty mood and the fun police have (mostly) taken the day off.... What else have we got in our portfolio's? Why do I ask? Because this board tends to attract the sort of investors I like / trust - people who are invested in a sound company for sound reasons and for GROWTH (ie they're not in it for the Divi's (yet)). I used to have 100% RR... but that was bonkers so I trimmed my RR stake and divested in the following:
Cab Payments (saw the naked trader had invested, did a bit of research, liked what I saw and invested)
Plus 500 (kept seeing it come out in the top few when I did screens for stocks - total punt - don't even really understand what they do apart from it's financial markets....)
Atalaya (saw Svend speak highly of them, watched a video which suggested copper was only going up (apparently there's a massive lagtime involved in developing new mines so you're stuck with the miners you have....Also India's rise = more middle class = more people wanting electricity and cars = more copper needed) - bad day at the office today as its down by 6% following mediocre results yesterday....
Vistry (Svend again... Also saw a video explaining what they do... They've pretty much nailed the low cost housing market in the UK)
IAG (another aero company on the rise)
CAB and Plus500 are my "punts" - I've had mixed results in the past with AIM shares but these appear to be the real deal.
Anyway - just interested to know what you have and why you have it. We all know why we're invested in RR - Why are we invested in our other stocks?
Cheers,
Peak.
Agree entirely Peakhead.
I always buy quality used cars, low mileage, dealer serviced.
My most recent is a BMW 320D, 1 owner, 13000 miles, 4 yrs old, dealer serviced, mint condition, 2 yr guarantee.
£14000 of extras that never hold their initial cost.
The saving on a new cost of approximately £30.000 if invested in Rolls-Royce at my average price of 89.77p say 450% is £135000.
It's a no brainer.
Imagine if I did the same re a new Rangerover.
Why don't people realise this?
Jakeyyork
I actually bought in at £2.39 and i will not sell as i have stated in my previous messages until the share price hits £13. I am longer term investor with common sense applied.
I presently have a Triumph GT6 (tax and MOT exempt),,,, looking to sell it and buy a Triumph Herald (if any ones interested) :)
hi all,
as we all know the usual posts from motely fool are normally ****ging off the figures for rr, so it was refreshing to see a more positive post early today.
with any luck the longer term outlook will indeed see another x2 rise is the share price.
good luck to all fellow rr investors for the future :)

RE: "Serious this is the discussion Crazy"
Says the person who creates a thread to post a Sinatra youtube video.
There needs to be a word for people who are incapable of scrolling past when they don't like something.... Maybe interKaren??WebKaren??
I think people who invest in RR are wise. Wise people don't buy brand new flash cars that depreciate by 25% as you drive them off the forecourt. Maybe a thread devoted to What investors buy what cars should be started....
Crypto types - Lamborghini
etc, etc
There appears to be a theme developing. We all have old boring cars. Surely that doesn’t mean we’re all old and boring? I’m 50 so not old yet (I don’t think)
Serious this is the discussion
Crazy
I have a 2003 Peugeot 406Hdi with 128,000 genuine miles on the clock, all in VGC, so why change?? Prefer to keep my money in RR
RR at 5 quid and my Morris Minor is back on the road!
Leyland mini 1275GT
Porsche 997.2 911
Golf GTI performance
I have a 2014 caddy, it's been a nightmare with injectors but should be reliable now and fairly easy to fix if things go wrong I really think older is better..
Let's hope we are not disappointed, there has been a lot of hype in the run up period
2011 VW Passat CC. New cars are awful expensive these days plus we don’t know what to buy in terms of ICE or EV.
