“ Paragraph 2&3 in layman’s terms please? I’ve had 4 pints, Scotlands playing tonight and off to Adeje tomorrow.”
Good luck - on both the game and the hangover! 😂
In short, as you clever chaps and chapesses would be fully aware, the FTSE and other UK indexes are considered “cheap” by the US and international markets. Probably since (and before) the time Morrisons got bought out with US funds.
I’m merely suggesting that not every US company has a billions of dollars so the smaller investment entities will be looking closely at the 250, Small cap and AIM.
Whilst the likes of TUI disappear to their homeland index, and even Shell suggesting they might delist, the obvious question is “where do foreign entities invest?”.
The three companies I’ve mentioned all seem to be on the peak of something decent so maybe, just maybe, that’s where small/medium international investors see a bargain.
If that was TLDR (too long, didn’t read) then I’m taking about international buyouts, hostile or other.
And I’ll include KOD.l into that group. 👍👍👍
''£7 close''.
WHO SAID THAT.... he did... I mean She did lolol.

Rolls Royce can provide the means for stable nuclear energy for domestic and export usage,
Stability and Growth in the free market of the uk
Energy independence leads to a lot
£7 close.
Well said PEAK - you’re the common sense on this board, with humour to boot 👍👍👍
Just a couple of pointers peeps. Rather busy today looking at BOIL.l that is boiling over 😉 and HE1.l that is rising nicely (helium? Rising? 😉).
AIM looking strangely positive at the moment so worthy of more investigation - initial thoughts are international investments looking at a get rich quick footing. I could be wrong, but good news from both (along with RBD.l) shows big rises in a short period of time.
On the RR front, I’m not the Messiah, just a very naughty cat! 😂
To those of you thinking I’m a bloke pretending to be a cat…. I’d have a good think about that if I were you. 😂😂🐈⬛🐈⬛
Have a great weekend all!
YOY up
But no idea what can happen
I like the Cat
We listen to a cat YTD 200percent up
We listen to a suit we feed the industry
Sometimes it’s doesn’t make sense. But the stock market media is an industry of its own
I’m in change on my investments, some of you worshiping a grown man pretending to be a cat 😂😂😂 beyond sad. 🙄🙄

I always say
Nettle The Cat is in charge
It's generally about Royce's... led by a therian called Nettles :-). There are occaisional skirmishes, generally about politics, how relevant posts are or the overall aerospacial accurateness of said posts. FFS don't post off topic as the board is monitored by some killjoys who are unable to scroll past posts they dislike. If you start an argument with certain members they will generally resort to the equivalent of bragging about the size of their tackle - although on here it's the size of their "pot". Some posters believe that because they have a large "pot" they are incapable of being wrong - they will actually argue black is white rather than concede ground. It appears that the general rule is "the larger your holding the less inclined you are to concede you are wrong (even when you are wrong)". Oh, and LTH's are better than short term "gamblers" - with X3 traders occupying the bottom rung. I think that just about sums it up.
Not sure i agree with the 'Big Drop' analysis being honest :)
However, the board has taken a 'Weird' turn :)
Apologies Achillies, this fella really hates Train Drivers, I think he may have been kicked off a train at some point in his life.
Seems fishy
Big drop and random posters about random shizzle, is Lloyds chat group like this?
Apologies for no Capital letters in my last post because the format of the link I copied in changed everything to small letters !!
sullysworld, what do you define as an 'idiot', eg "a person with profound mental ******ation; also an abusive term for a fool" (oxford dictionary) or just someone lacking the responsibility and care for the job ? 99% jobs would not employ an idiot surely ?!! there are driverless metro lines all over the world already - https://www.railway-technology.com/features/around-world-driverless-metro-lines/?cf-view - and japan started theirs in 1981 !! disagree that people can't be changed from "idiot" status to "non-idiot" status as otherwise millions are being wasted every year in rehabilitation areas !! not sure what your motive is in saying "you will probably have left this world by then." because i have no plans at all to go to the moon or mars or anywhere else further afield for many many years !! train drivers are checked also, or at least should be, so no difference there with accountants, engineers, solicitors, etc...unless one is on the wrong train if one worries about death or serious injury !! fortunately, i'm a fatalist anyway, que sera sera, though i generally do the best i can anyway !!
sorry rosco, some guy decided it was a forum to **** off train drivers, i dunno why either??
I thought this was a rolls royce thread?
You can train an idiot for 5 years, they are still an idiot at the end.
They probably could do transport from main hubs to distribution depots but that's about it, you would have to have dedicated parking bays at every shop in the country for AI to replace vans and lorries anytime soon, they haven't even given the ok to cars yet, get back to me when this happens you will probably have left this world by then.
Bit for a silly argument to base an argument on whether accountants are checked 100% or 25%, they will be looking for any glaring errors.
I find it odd that people attack a working persons salary, but ignore the massive tax avoidance and evasion that goes on within government, their friends, big corporations etc? The kick backs, the low level of tax rates, the 'incentives' etc would easily cover the running costs of a country with a population that of the UK.
But, yeah, let's ignore that bit. Tack on to that the cost of housing that is NOT in line with wages, then you have a problem that a economics professor is not required to figure out.
Asking for a decent wage is not unreasonable, not as if all the train-drivers are running off to their country retreats in their Phantoms for the weekend.
SullysWorld, are you a train driver yourself or connected to one ? Do train drvers have to train / study for 5 or so years nefore they are qualified ? What level of education do they require ? And re an "idiot" driving one's train !!, many transport companies are already replacing human drivers with AI-enabled robots !! And if you really think that lower level qualified Accountants' work is fully, and even adequately, checked ny higher ups and Auditors, then you've never worked in that area !!
