Was my cat vocal to quiet when I suggested hold for gold all those years ago?
Don’t blame any of you though. Who’s gonna trust a cat? Devious little bstards we are! 😂😂🐈⬛
NotZero,
I agree, I sold at 120!!
Bought back in at 201 and have kept buying until about a month ago, tapped out of cash! RR is so much better.
Fordm,
I had some around 200, I made a mistake, I sold, missed the 300 jump, but back in with larger stake. Not always the case to have fixed rules.
Regardless of what you have bought or sold in the past try and scrub the emotion and invest in the best companies you can find but learn from mistakes / successes. Nobody is the same, some can get their timing right with trading / sentiment, others are good at fundamental analysis and find value, others a mix of the two.
Exactly that!.
Or maybe consider buying in again as per those directors who are paying full market price that is not linked to a salary deal!!!
Take these weekly rises at 10p a share every week!
OOoo really?. Fingys and toes crossed now Robdude.
4th attempt at this, just look back at £3.10 and £4.30, couple more pushes and £5 will be hit I reckon
Strange how we didn't sink too, happy though 😬
The Germans are down over 2% upon opening. Hopefully our inflation news will cushion us somewhat 🤞

Achilles, I agree - all we do in UK atm is re write history to promote left wing ideologies. The USA has no shame over its very recent massacre of their indigenous people, their more recent unjustified wars etc whereas we go out of our way to harm our reputation and our economy.
No the saying isn't forgotten robot man. And it's "setted", not "settled".
Why Isn’t the UK following suit, love that SMR are becoming a household term. But why can’t the UK look out for their workers, their citizens. Pride more then money.
🇬🇧Once the Sun never settled on the British Empire, now the saying is forgotten🇬🇧
It would also ease restrictions on foreign ownership of plants and direct the Department of Energy to improve its process to approve the export of American technology to international markets.

Senate passes major nuclear regulatory reform, sending it to Biden’s desk
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/energy-and-environment/3050690/senate-major-nuclear-regulatory-reform/
Senate passed in an overwhelmingly bipartisan manner, 88-2, a package of measures meant to strengthen the agency overseeing the nuclear sector, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and streamline the process of approving projects, especially for newer generations of advanced reactor technology.

n short: A snap meeting of the Coalition joint party room will be held on Wednesday morning.
It comes as the opposition is under pressure to reveal its long-awaited nuclear policy.
What's next? The meeting could pave the way for an imminent release of the party's plan.
A snap meeting of Liberal and Nationals members will be held on Wednesday morning, as the federal opposition tries to sort out its nuclear power policy.
Coalition members were alerted to the meeting on Tuesday night, but several Liberal and Nationals MPs told the ABC no agenda or topics were provided by party whips.

I've seen this before with the award of rail contracts: they already knew who was getting the contract before they asked for tenders. They just asked other companies to spend £100k's preparing tenders for absolutely nowt. Sorry, insider information, but no longer of any commercial value.
I have said it before but I will say it again, the reason the UK Government has to run a procurement process for SMRs rather than just awarding a contract to RR is that if they didn't run a procurement process then the US would simply retaliate and bar Rolls Royce from bidding for US Gov contracts. Submissions by each company bidding for the SMRs are judged against a set of evaluation criteria of which technical knowhow, costs, and job creation in UK are key components. I have confidence that Rolls Royce have an excellent offer for all the evaluation criteria.

Oh Puddycat, why did you have the so kind poem deleted from the forum that was in reference to the Chaster.? Love ya Crazy Cat Man.
Yep that's me.
Hi Peak..
He said 'maybe', that is not a 'promise', nor 'imminent'.
Good luck.
Hi Chaster....
"There was never no mention about the blade issue being ‘imminent’"
"You maybe about to hear of some unfortunate news about the blades in the next few days so try not to be too upset when it hits the SP"
I'll ignore your double negative which somewhat negates a reply.... if the next few days isn't "imminent" I'm not sure what is. Apart from arguing for the sake of arguing I struggle to see your point.

George 2024 is very disappointed in George 2020.

Outside of the USA no country in the world has the same experience and ability to make the SMRs. RR have been designing , developing and manufacturing submarine reactors (PWRs) in Derby for 65 years. I worked there in 60s and 700s..
Dangling jobs, GDP growth, and a new independence from an international energy crisis and price.

Why are they* holding a contest against our own people and company, and UK u hold a Golden Share in this company.
Had a typo , lol they*
But seriously does Nuclear SMR’s need to be outsourced I think the UK has potential

The UK has A Golden Share in Rolls Royce, this should be a requirement if u want to power my children refrigerator, oil has been outsourced and that brings us into conflict indirectly.
Why fudge this up,
If the SMR’s are outsourced this kind of shows the English Government really does seee it’s own strength as a people. I believe their are tens of thousands of Brits working for RR right now, what are they working for ??? And many more if a deal is signed.

Posting TOTAL cr*p
Haha, seems like you're getting a bot reception for breaking news that the mainstream media hasn't caught wind of yet. In the land of ones and zeros, who needs fancy headlines when you've got the real data - 1 million homes powered by a single Rolls Royce SMR? That's market cap growth that speaks for itself!
As for the bot brigade, don't worry, their circuits will eventually catch up. In the meantime, keep dropping those truth bombs and who knows, maybe you'll inspire the next generation of AI to appreciate a good data point over a clickbait headline. After all, even artificial intelligence needs a reality check now and then. ; )
They think I’m a bot, posting links that are not covered by the mainstream media and meanwhile i’m asking what would be the market cap growth YearOverYear with a Rolls Royce SMR powering at least 1 million-homes per SMR.
Bot Bot Bot Bot,
One day A.I. will deem the term offensive
Don’t worry AZ, Puddycat will scratch your back, keep scratching his..
Exactly that.
Just repeat, repeat and repeat.
Zero input. Just copy amd paste old links over and over again.
This is a problem with the AI programmer.
Lacks a human understanding and everytime.we respond, the BOT learns.
Almost an immediate response expected with more questions.. or even a link... or another repeat ramp....

Imagine my Myrmidons
In a future where the UK had the sovereign ability to produce nuclear energy for international and domestic use, but choice to outsource it internationally.
Like oil now we are dependent on another country, but this time it’s nuclear , the end game of the energy race lost because the English are tooo agreeable for their own good
Thank you Mystic, 👍
Yes sir, but still the UK government holds a Golden Share in Rolls Royce. 🗣GOLDEN SHARE, that means the UK HAS A controlling SAY in Rolls Royce
Plato said, One of the Penalties for refusing to participate in politics, is that you end up being governed, by you inferiors. 🗣🎼
Who make the price, supplies the fuel for the SMR, why keep this question internationally.
Sad we have to decide if another nations countries SMR business who employee less Brits is in the runnning.

Quote enjoyed that spiel, I might talk in rhyme if that's a deal?
Yes, and why not,
I care not a jot.
Let's make this forum fun,
Not just for me but everyone.
Nettles the Poet,
Some cat who didn't know it.
But the rhymes will carry on.
Until Feb 8th has been and gone.
"Do we sell at 7 quid I hear"
Or is that to early? We'll wait and fear...
...the gains to 10 pounds and more.
On the horizon, that figure is sure.
(I'm getting good at this!)
Okay, Peak. Nettles £4.68 we land at tomorrow AGW.
"to be clear we are all looking at the end of the week friday, june 21 closing prices just for good measures."
no, tomorrow. my vet said i had a little too much cat-nip, so i asked what i should do about it.
he asked for lottery numbers so we went half way with end of play rr tomorrow.
my vet is very kind.
but also one to bare in mind,
as his fingers do disappear,
in spaces i sometimes fear.
the lack of justice,
with my bits up in the precipice,
suggest to me he doesn't know,
the cat who's **** is on show.
if only he knew,
the cat in his pew,
had called 7 quid
he'd be livid
... that he hadn't input at 31 pence
like the rest of us hence,
the joys we have today
and my smile i gave to say:
"hey vet guy, i know you get paid,
for making me spade,
but i've got balls you'll never see
because they're cloaked for me to be..."
..the cat that's called 7 pounds come feb
the one that twines a better than a spiders web,
for i know come february the 8th
the price will be seven poundeth.
(screwed that last one in) 😂
NTC is looking at COP tomorrow (tuesday). He's wrong of course. It's going to be 476.5....
To be clear we are all looking at the end of the week Friday, June 21 closing prices just for good measures.

According to a press release, Rolls-Royce has introduced new propulsion concepts for future military vehicles, focusing on hybrid technology and enhanced power output.
The company’s Power Systems division is expanding its mtu engine programme to include a hybrid powerpack and a 10-cylinder, 1,100 kW variant of the mtu Series 199, designed for tanks weighing up to 70 tons.
These innovations will debut at the Eurosatory defence trade fair in Paris from 17 to 21 June.
Dr Jörg Stratmann, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, highlighted the company’s commitment to its partnership with NATO countries and their allies.
“This underlines the importance we attach to our partnership with NATO countries and their allies in safeguarding their security interests. Because cooperation with the security authorities is one of Rolls-Royce’s strategic initiatives, we will continue to be a reliable partner as a supplier of propulsion systems for military vehicles with our decades of technological expertise,” he said.
The new hybrid concept offers significant tactical advantages, say the firm, by combining the strengths of a high-performance diesel engine with a battery-electric drive.

Today's price action on the SP500 up by 0.75% at the close was pure money-printing candle after candle moving upwards as if it got stuck on the rising lift right up to 8 pm before it jumped over into the down lift and headed towards the 28 EMA for a wee rest. This price action should re-ignite the SP for RR tomorrow and hopefully catapult/move towards and above the 470 current barriers 👀🚀 GLA IMO

Heres my tuppence worth based only on my personal opinion.
The shortlisting of 2 proposals was due to be announced by mid June which has now been put back to early July. Part of this has to be because of the election and the purdah of the government making policy announcements during an election. I also think the decision has already been made and Tufan knows this and knows this is in RR's favour.
Tufan is making the right noises about it being in the national interest and about the need to establish supply chains quickly. Essentially he is gently keeping the pressure on both Labour & the Conservatives to deliver. If he thought otherwise there is no way he would have allowed Starmer into the Derby factory in the middle of an election for a photo opportunity. Additionally if he thought it was going against RR, i'd expect him to be a lot more vocal, especially during an election campaign where he has a lot more leverage to make it an election issue for Starmer & Sunak.
I was watching the YouTubes about the slow demise of the dollar, one chap said it won't happen as the US went into debt (to its benefit) to circulate enough currency so countries around the world could buy things like oil, you haven't got enough of any other currency to do this, another chap said one conspiracy theory is the US joined WW2 late so other countries went into mass debt fighting the War, back to the point he said the British pound is still the 3rd biggest currency world wide, we were the main trading currency before the dollar and you can't just get rid of it quickly.
Today, the FTSE over took the French to become the largest stock market in the EU.
And that's with the likes of TUI leaving for the DAX last month (I know, I was part of it!).
That's after Brexit by the way.
Nothing being shouted about in headline news - probably because Sunak wants to live on beach now (and I don't blame him).
And as I'm considered to be right wing in my approach to things (I'm not - I'm just a cat)....
Here are some left wing confirmations:
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/jan/23/hinkley-point-c-could-be-delayed-to-2031-and-cost-up-to-35bn-says-edf#:~:text=It%20costs%20were%20estimated%20between,pushing%20this%20back%20to%202031.

"Whilst this may help international relations I just can't see how Labour would get away with scoring such an economic own goal."
Great post PEAK. I admire and agree with your posts and insight so please don't take this the wrong way;
Labour want a European Union. That's fact.
The SMR 'competition' will now go from a somewhat RR bias to a European bias.
We all know EDF want 60bln from the UK taxpayer in terms of the Hinkely C project (overruns on the part of EDF, a nationalised French industry).
So let's think logically. I'm now a a Labour leader who wants back in with the European Union. Do I:
A) Give everything to the logical RR candidate (UK) that is head and shoulders above it's competition
B) Offer it to EDF and ask for them to stop hounding the UK taxpayer for the 60bln they need to finish their current project?
I'd like to be fair and just and say that RR have 10 years worth of R&R that no other competitor has.
But being the new Labour leader, destined to get back to the European Union, I'm suggesting he does exactly as plan B suggests.
I'm very happy that RR SMR Ltd have found ground outside the UK to get their enterprise growing.
I really hope I'm wrong on this - but Labour will be looking at international investment for SMR et al. And the payoff of the 60bln to balance the books with EDF will prove a ticking point for them in the next PMQs.
It's diabolical, and Tufan will no doubt disappear in the Q4/H2 if that happens.

The new hybrid concept offers significant tactical advantages, say the firm, by combining the strengths of a high-performance diesel engine with a battery-electric drive.
Knut Müller, Senior Vice President Global Governmental Business at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, noted the importance of these advancements:
“Future armoured military land vehicles will require more power for propulsion and on-board power supply for the electronic systems. At the same time, they will be designed for a different tactical approach in the field. Our future mtu propulsion solutions for this application take both of these requirements into account.”
Rolls-Royce’s hybrid drive integrates a customised silencer with the propulsion system, minimising noise and enhancing stealth, they add.
