The problem Stp is we the people try and elect people to do largely what they say in their manifestos. I don't want to get into a debate (too many here), but take Brexit, whether you agree with it or not, the MP's basically said we'll honour it and then have to a large extent watered down everything such that we're in hotel California to the point many ask what was the point. The whole point is we should be very careful who we vote for. A friends son is a labour MP, he's quite prominent for a back bencher, I know from his father that he disagrees with a lot of the party, but he votes along party lines and not with conviction, we need people to stand up to their views

At present the forecast for July looks fantastic - will it be an up down or mediocre month - anyones guess but I know where we'd all like it to be

Certainly shows up on trading view as a transient upward spike, like the spike the other way on the 2nd June at 08:00 where it dropped to 1106

Based on current Simply Wall St-style consensus:

* RR is typically shown as:

* ~10%–20% undervalued

* Not consistently 40% in current models

A **40% discount is only valid if you cherry-pick:

* older prices, or

* aggressive fair value assumptions**

Share price - FCF shows 51.9% over valued - Analyst show 2.4% under fair value. I'm not doubting / questioning you, but please tell me where you saw that piece of info

If, as and when this happens it's going to mahoosive, if there are successful tests and confirmed interest from Airbus and likely others we would be looking at a quantum leap into the future. Then there's the growing SMR potential order book .........

Heard those rumbles a while back, nothing since. I'm sure we'll hear from RR once somethings been formalised.

I find that SWS is a little on the conservative side overall wrt RR if I'm honest, perhaps it's just me but they seem uber cautious on the future but it's a compounding of analysts forecasting, saying that it's one of those that I actually pay for. Can't see where you got the 40% discount from though?

Only this weekend I was chatting to someone in the energy industry, they believe like many of us that nuclear is the way forward. He agreed with me, 3 SMR on each of the decommissioned nuclear sites would eliminate our need to import energy from the EU, would reduce the near impossible to cover the interconnection to solar and wind sites and enable spend on the local distribution networks. They simply cannot provide enough power when each new data centre requires dual 132kw supplies completely segregated on the distribution network.

Orders for another dozen+ SMR on some of our other decommissioned former nuclear power station sites would be sensible.

Poundf interesting was actually light guessing for April / May if you took the guess from the last day of the month and locked the following month. This month was way out by some distance, but then no-one can second guess trump, not even trump. This month we're playing catch up to the bottom of the pre Iran conflict trading window, we've just touched the bottom of that window, but were still below their forecast which peaked at 1571 on the 26th June. If peace holds it may well be close on July's predictions - Sorry I run a spreadsheet on guess v actuals - sad I know!

@PastyC - Was very tempted to sell some and buy some SPCX, but that boat has sailed, for now, I think it's way overbought, but I'm an amateur. Picking the next rockstar on here isn't easy, though marking time with great divi isn't a bad idea if that's someone's risk profile. Good luck on your journey.

It's fair to say this share has been one hell of a journey. I guess man of us have rerated our off ramp a fair few times, I certainly have, I'm now in the life's a bit different game and there's a plan that was simply unimaginable 5 years ago. Throughout that journey of which I missed out on the really cheap shares (envious), but I have sold down 1/3rd of my tally over that time as I reached the new rerate - I count myself lucky I still have x0k which can pretty much sit there for the medium to long haul. It's a volatile world, but there's a lot more business that RR can and is getting into.

Once we hit 1425 we re-enter the bottom of the old growth trend (just), be great to be trading back inside that trading value stream for sure.

I hope you're right, certainly the H1 update will (should) give us a lift, though this 'deal' could unravel when the nuclear elements are further discussed. There's always a bit of good news percolating re RR but deeply overshadowed by the trumping nightmare.

My suspicion is that IRAN will be rebuilding their stockpiles at some pace, as will the US. The real Iranians (not IRGC) will not see much improvement in their lot, sorry about that bit of negativity, I'd love to be more positive on the 'deal'. They believe they've won, they will be emboldened and unfortunately this isn't over by a long way. Make hay whilst the sun shines! On that note did anyone make a k***ing on SPCX?
