Bav - The point every time I hear the £300 off bills I ask at what point did millipede set the marker to make that statement, it makes no sense without. At this point we're all way out of pocket. In terms of wind, it's been going for 35 years now, still requires mahoosive subsidies to make it 'pay'. I know historically major infrastructure projects usually go bust a couple of times before they become usable (railways is a point in case), but that involves huge business losses, which the government thinks we the tax paying public should be on the hook for, not the businesses building the power networks.

The only positive is it brings up the average consensus and makes them look a little less stupid

Since the beginning of october only the 3rd and 9th. October last year was pretty flat, but not as down as this one.

So all wise ones, with so much talk of dotcom 2 what do we think the impact on our RR investments are likely to be and the really challenging question, when will the big drop occur? Our stocks price is one of tremendous recovery so whilst we've had a meteoric rise it's not like say bitcoin or AI stocks that to me look over inflated, though I still see articles saying they're undervalued. Timing entry and exit is hard, well exit to be truthful.

I've nominally entered the AI fray with ARCI so I have a slightly less negative view. I only mention ARCI because it's robotics and I see manufacturing synergies with RR production in the future, genuine products like those that terrify manufacturers that visit chinese dark factories. BITCOIN, could've, didn't won't.

Coupled with the uncertainty of 2 around pensions / pots I think 1 is highly likely especially as we witness instability in share price for those wishing to maximise the outtake.

Talk of a shadow banking collapse is also taking its toll along with the lead up to our much discussed budget. Add to that the trade delegation in India with people maybe selling at a ‘high’ with the expectation of a bounce once trade deals are announced maybe?

More likely we’re being affected by the ongoing trade war with the EU (steel) and the French economy which we as a country are doing our best to emulate.

The world is in flux, maybe we'll see if a reduction in hostilities in Israel/Gaza reduced some stress on the markets for travel. Increased drone incursions might be stressing the market and lets face it the utter chaos, lack of leadership and the leaks / guesses around the UK budget can't be generating a lot of confidence especially with so much cash being withdrawn as people pull their tax free lump sums ahead of the budget.

i do hold some M&S though i got in a little late on that sadly, I've been watching Tesco but over the same timescale as the 2 below it's 'only' up 98%, but a good call.

Shareflyer, Bae has been very very good, my modest holding is up over 300% and I think it's got some legs yet, also had BaB as I thought that would be good and I sold out for rolls at again circa 300% and i think with the world as is they've both got legs.

I'm actually considering ARCI as I believe robotics is getting very close and it gives a 'cheap' exposure to some of the big 7, so a risk if there's a crash

My concern and I think that of a few is that the US market in particular is incredibly bullish in part due to the 'magnificent' seven tech stocks. Their growth curves look very similar to those in the dotcom era, I know a few people who use their old share certificates as wall paper having invested in the likes of Nortel and Marconi etc and lost the lot, usually along with their jobs.

That said I'm looking at diversifying into a AI ETF, even though i don't think we're developed properly into the true business cases for products and services, just like we weren't in the good old days of dial up networks and early WWW.

Those who disagrees with that all so brief synopsis I understand, but I was also heavily involved in building data centres (not with my bare hands) and networks across the UK and europe in that era.
