I prefer to focus on the fact that 3 years ago we were a lot poorer than we are today. Yes, there's a lot of annoying noise on here and a lot thats not relevant to why were here. But I for one now have the prospect of a comfortable retirement and a good inheritance for my boy.

In June, Rolls-Royce SMR was chosen as the sole provider in the Great British Energy - Nuclear (GBEN) SMR competition to build three SMR units in the UK. Contractual terms are expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of 2025, resulting in a two-stage contract that will see the first SMR connected to the grid by the mid-2030s. This project will start to generate revenues and profit from late 2025 onwards, with positive cash flows throughout. We expect Rolls-Royce SMR to be profitable and free cash flow positive by 2030. We continue to see significant international interest in Rolls-Royce SMRs, including in Sweden where we have been shortlisted as one of two potential SMR providers by Vattenfall.

I used to do a 9 day rolling 2 weeks when our hours were reduced from 40 - 37.5 worked ok to be honest, unlike the flexible working where lots (most) tried to 'work' from home on fridays and mondays. As long as it's properly run and the whole place doesn't close on a friday then it can work, but then our councils arent there for their 'customers', just to provide jobs it seems.

If you look back 6 months at the candle chart the SP exhibited broadly the same behaviour we're witnessing this week. Indeed over the last 5 years I've been invested here it's become a bit of a common theme as I see it.

Our last real Pump was hit by the world of Orange and caused a huge slip which we recovered and some, for me whilst it's. an annoyance in the light of all of the positives around RR, world events aside there's no reason to be overly stressed about the price movements of the last week. But that's just me

Of course the climate warriors will then come out with there's too much water vapour in the atmosphere causing global cooling and lots of rain and sea levels will rise due to the increased rain. Of course I'm saying that tongue in cheek, but having grown up with, mini ice age, acid rain etc I'm aware that there's a climate emergency every 10-20 years

That would explain why we've been driven mad by Cadent upgrading the local gas network here over the last year when there's no history of gas leaks. Nationally a huge project

Electrolysers alongside SMR is a perfect match, running 24x7 supplying the grid during demand times and running these in the low demand phase. Both require good water supplies and you could even add in desalination plants to supplement our dreadful lack of clean water supplies in the uk during this 'climate emergency'.

Probably off the back of increased defence spending in europe which is set to be both massive and biased towards european businesses.

Don't be so hard on yourself, they say 80% of retail investors lose money, I suspect there are many here that have made bad choices at time, I certainly have. My son criticises me as I have made some money on what many would call 'unethical' investments, the world consumes oil, fights wars ....... but those industries employ lots of people and for me provided recovery financially late in life. People have asked why I've not invested in my previous industry of which I have lots of knowledge, put simply I would have lost money. I've followed the companies on chat boards like this and many of the private investors are clueless as to how badly run some businesses are! We here have been so lucky that RR has a top notch leader and team.

I've got 8 watch lists I set up just over 5 years ago so I have a pretty fair idea of what has been good and bad in the businesses I'd researched
