Investorintheknow. As this is a RR thread i wouldn't normally comment, but here's my thoughts;
You're absolutely right finding that new 'good' buys isn't easy, I've done well with Bae (161%) and BaB (88%) alongside RR (270%) and a few others. I'm now delving into the building side, so far Cost has been a good buy, TW was but isn't at present, PSN is ripe for a big rise at some point as it's bottomed, sales volumes are well down but as interest rates come down that side should flourish as they're very depressed at present.
The Virginia class subs are an interim measure to ride them over and familiarise the Ozzie navy with the tech. It’s still entirely possible for Bae to build the ‘aukus’ subs, and RR the reactors. I’m sure Bae will be looking at contingency planning to ‘accelerate’ the build start if necessary and RR seem to be gearing up nicely
The successes in production of energy are getting more frequent. One of the biggest challenges is maintaining plasma integrity, the growth of AI modelling will accelerate the success in that Arena probably by an order of magnitude or more. It’s entirely possible that Fusion reactor design will move in leaps and bounds once we achieve sustainable plasma containment in the next 5 years. For me the question is at what point will RR make the leap?
Certainly based on the current level of increases £7 is possible, I’d love to see it. For it to happen I believe we need to be replicating the leaps we’ve had on the last few announcements. It’s entirely possible though the early jumps were from an uncharacteristic base and maintaining that momentum could be tricky without some big announcements and a big one is beholden on a very inept and indecisive government.
