RE: US box office sales back to their pre-pandemic level26 Apr 2023 14:03
Hi all,
this is my first post on your chat forum and I would like to say a Big Hello to you all. I read this chat for cini as well as for my hopefully good and to honest my " Take a punt " investments or should I call them a gamble.
I have invested in the stock market for 45 years and I have had a good run from most of my choices of companies, which has rewarded me well over the years.
Off course the investments and punts I have taken are usually the ones which comes to mind when I think of all the various companies I have had dealings with.
At the tender age of 17 my first £1000 was invested in Groveball Engineering ( I thought the future for ball bearings was safe ) .......... and off course this was the first £1000 I lost.
To the list of failures I can add Central China Gold Fields which struck gold literally and a fortune was at hand, until the Chinese government stepped in and nationalised the company and its assets for the greater good of China.
More recently it was Melody VR / Napster, which was another long drawn out death for the stock.
On the plus side some punt investments work out beyond your expectations, like RR who are still flying.
When it comes to fairness in the stock market and in the legal process, I have learnt that for the most part they don't exist.
I have been lucky with Cini so far, buying on the up and selling before the drop.
But I have put a few K into it again a 2p, and perhaps this time it might be different.
Good luck to all investors, and we all know the old saying " Investments can go up or down, and you may get less than your original investment back or nothing at all. "
This was a pleasure to write on your board and I hope that this message finds you all doing good and well.
kind regards
Albertz
