Larry , could this be some merger with Eurofins ? Eurofins are worth market cap of 13 Billion euros
Wouldn't they have to notify the markets before any such merger if it is one?
Seems very strange.
Really PI100???
This could be huge news if it is some sort of merger...
RNS tomorrow?
We’re a tiny R&D company, why would a multi billion company be remotely interested? Give it up, it’s gone. No amount of tenuous links like this will bring back our money.
And you think if there’s anything remotely positive about the ‘link’ the market wouldn’t jump on it? Almost 6% down today. I think they know a bit more than some random on Twitter who adds 2 and 2 to get 6. Interested to know the last link of Larry’s to come true.
It is a question to be asked P100.
Why do Eurofinss have our tests , our staff , our office building blah blah. If you don't think that's odd , when Novacyt told us they were streamlining the business and closing Microgen Bioproducts , then I most certainly
do ! Did they give it away in a game of lucky dip. If you can't contribute sensibly then learn to say nothing.
Check out Andrey Lypkan Eurofins linked in , a week ago and see for yourself what they have to say about Path Chek and Microgen and the pretty picture. Larry isn't inventing stuff , it's fact, black and white. Do I know what's happening , answer is no , not a scooby , but it would appear we are not being told the truth.
Eurofins Technologies is rebranded to Gold Standard Diagnostics as of the 1st of December, 2022.
This brand was already established for our clinical product line a few years ago, and we are extending now the Gold Standard Diagnostics branding to our entire test kit, reagent and instrument development, and manufacturing business. This includes Food&Feed Safety, Environmental&Water Testing and Animal Health, and of course the Clinical line.
We are becoming one strong and unified team, under the same name and branding, across businesses, regions and applications. We trust that this change will simplify and improve customer experience, and support us to be an innovative and trusted solution provider for all our stakeholders.
Eurofins has been rebranded, yet they are holding on to the Microgen brand which they appear to have acquired? Nothing makes sense.
Yep Neil , Andery has posted on linked in
" Microgen became part of GSD , Eurofins from 2022" He works for Eurofins , so it is very unclear what Novacyt have done. As I said , they either gave it away or an acquisition took place or there is some form of partnership, or it it the start of them acquiring more then just Microgen , take your pick. As ever we have not been told. Anyone else who thinks they know then please post your thoughts because it is as clear as mud to me.
Alas have we sold the microgen brand for some pathetic amount that's almost not worth Rns'ing in the eyes of our leaders because"we'd already announced we were closing the brand therefore don't feel the need to announce again", NOT a real quote just my musings.
Hi kaeren........ Do you remember the microgen bioproducts monkeypox... Packaging................ Eurofin gsdx monkeypox release......
Yes I remember Gizmo.
I was wrong back on the 12/12 when I said
"Only two reasons to move the BoD to Southampton. Either
A) Camberley is closing, everyone is being made redundant and the lease getting disposed off.
B) Camberley is staying open and there's another reason to move the BoD to Primer Design."
Turns out the whole thing was disposed off. But there might still be other reasons for moving the BoD
Those who interpreted DA's announcement on Microgen as closing the actual business where closer to the reality than I, who thought it was merely stopping production of products.
But why the griping, it's offices and staff we don't need or nor can afford and products that apparently lost money.
So how much was it it worth? <£1mm is a one off payment for that amount worth an RNS? IIRC there were est. costs of £.5mm (?) associated with closing the businesses, so anything above -£.5mm is good n'est-ce pas
Neilrich, eurofins has tons of subsidiaries with différents names. So that doesnt choc me.
But makes no sense that ncyt didnt clearly told us they sold microgen. And for how much. And what assays and assets ofnlicrogen did they kept or sold etc
Gizmo, the mpx test is from primerdesign, so i dont get what you mean ?
Larry - over the past couple of years you’ve posted an awful lot of tenuous links. Not a dig but can you confirm how many, and which ones, actually came true please ?
Maybe it wasn't sold. If it were loss making but the IP was something Eurofins were interested in then they could simply have agreed to take on the whole business as a package for a nominal £1. It's not uncommon.
Maybe part of the deal was keeping the staff on board so no jobs were lost but the costs were removed from NCYT.
There's a very large grey area between being closed and being sold.
Interesting view 21ats.
P100, did i create this website ?

Larry, this one will come to light in time.
All the others please, which came true?
Hi Larry, thanks for the heads up with Microgen. If you look on the Eurofins website several of their UK food testing labs use Microgen products for testing , a good example of this is the Grimsby lab. These labs have recently received their yearly UKAS accreditation which lists the tests they use . From what info is available Eurofins did have a lab that tested Biopharma Products a short walk from Microgen Bioproducts in Camberley . This appears to have closed sometime this summer. It looks very much like some sort of deal was done with Novacyt to preserve the supply of tests that Eurofins labs are using. Possibly some of the staff from the Eurofins lab could have transferred to the Microgen site, just a thought.
At the end of the day this is completely at odds with the statement in the rns that said Lab21 and Microgen Bioproducts were discontinued and ceased trading at the end of June. It looks like another paragraph of info was missed out of the rns .
