Bird flu virus found in one-fifth of US milk samples, testing shows.
Early results from sampling study suggest bird flu could be widespread in America’s commercial supplies.
The PCR tests used to analyse the samples can detect both live and dead virus fragments, but cannot distinguish between the two.
“Additional testing is required to determine whether intact pathogen is still present and if it remains infectious, which would help inform a determination of whether there is any risk of illness associated with consuming the product,” the FDA said.

Should NCYT be successful with their defence and the counter claim, the cash in the back shall be in the region of £2.00 a share, however we shall have to wait and see, fingers crossed.
Wrong thread.
should have been on the 30th April one.
Good weekend to all my fellow long suffering shareholders.
The clock is ticking down.
A good reason to get down my average further next week.
Would be good if we get to £1 before we win our case, as I believe it will allow the SP to rise above £2.50.
Posted under wrong thread but I'm sure the point remains the same, pushing hard.

Harchris...the target price is completely wrong as a win will give them 100% straight off.
They will achieve no more if it is £5 within the 3 years
Doesn't matter what else they do they won't get any more
Tbh what they gun for means nothing...it is what they achieve..the last two years have shown that.
I do think LR will do better...certainly at playing aim game
Long term the jury is out
CS the £1.38 target isn't an incentive but the knowledge that they'll receive 950k/390k/465k shares for LR, Steve and Joanne respectively incentivises them to make as much of a success of this as possible - the difference in cash terms between £1.38 and say £5, especially for Steve and Joanne, is significant.
There's not even a chance their focus will be on just ensuring Novacyt is a £100m mcap/£1.38 a share company, they'll be gunning for many times that if they win the dispute.
WBAFC. Yes exactly. I can’t see NCYT putting an end to it at this stage. Especially as they’ve been so confident of their case all along. It’s also their reputation at stake.
Islandgirl, 19th April RNS:
“The trial hearing has been listed to commence on 10 June 2024, and finish on 4 July 2024. The Company expects the court to reserve judgment, meaning that the outcome of the trial will not be known on 4 July 2024.”
CS , I think in human nature greed is a big motivation . I think the next 2 years LR will be building the company up and hopefully we land a few bolt on acquisitions and some meaty contracts . The SP could well be above £10 , or £20 by the time 2026 comes and he can sell some of his shares which would be worth millions of pounds. I would be curious to see if he or any BOD buy up some shares after the DHSC case is finished.
Wb...if they win the case the ltip is met.
They can close up shop and do nowt for 2 years.
Hardly an incentive.
LR strikes me that he will try and shift the sp..more than others before him
However ultimately it will depend on him getting results and not bankrupting the company
I think pre trial is regarding DHSC £135M claim , which will be rejected. The court case will be Novacyt pursuit of £81.5 M + interest [£10M] and Novacyt will want every penny and that's why it will go to court
Darktrace . ..departure will harm lse and encourage others to rethink
For every £1 on the share price , LR will pocket close to almost £1 Million . So £25 per share will generate him close to £25 Million . Therefore , it is a very massive motivation for him to make Novacyt the company very successful. I cannot see the BOD having any problems reaching their LTIP of £1.38 in 2026. This is a massive opportunity for LR , JM , and the CFO to become absolutely filthy rich , multimillionaires ! They will not have a better chance anywhere else. Wish I was in that privileged position !
Next week in a only pre trial review.
So I expect it to be over relatively quickly with a result on the application fairly shortly ..judging by the wording in the rns
We could hear something next week.
If the application gets rejected ..then be interesting to see if it changes gov mind on trial.
Would ncyt settle for a compromise just to put an end to it?
Yes they might lose some money but presumably keeps a better relationship with NHS for future products?
Either way next week and we are only 2 months away from a conclusion
Gla
Wonder how long the trial will take?
Not long until the pre trial review of a ‘very weak’ application.
“The court will also hear an application by the DHSC for summary judgment in relation to one aspect of its claim, as part of which the DHSC is seeking judgment to be entered for the full value of its claim. Having taken legal advice, the Company considers this application to be very weak with low prospects of success, and is confident that the court will dismiss the application. It is not known when the court will give judgment in relation to the application. It may be during or at the end of the Pre-Trial Review, or a short time thereafter.”
Clarification:
When I say S*** or bust!
I mean I would not bother selling at anything less than £2.50+
Id rather hold until outcome, there is no pennies amount (not even 99)
That I would sell out at?
As I believe given time, the dhsc will pay up and this sp will retunr to the 2-4 range IMO dyor
MM’s banking on weakness of LTH
imo its sh 1 t or bust!
Want my shares make pennies POUNDS :)
Baby just hang in there, good time are coming and so is my £3.50. It will make me leave work, that I love
Well the market doesnt seem to think we are winning the court case judging by the share price. What do they know!
Had four at one point... (all rescues) now down to two... and probably one quite soon...
#worsepainthanthespgoingdown :(
