Novacyt and Biosynex soar with the appearance of a Covid-19 variant in France

(AOF) - Late last week, a new variant of Covid-19 emerged in France. Dubbed NB.1.8.1, this variant is particularly active in Asia. However, Hong Kong health authorities indicated last Friday that they had observed a slowdown in the increase in virus activity, which is expected to remain at a relatively high level in the near future. With this resurgence and the appearance of this variant in France, stocks such as Novacyt and Biosynex have been particularly sought after.

Both companies are in the medical field, with the first being dedicated to molecular diagnostics, while the second is specialized in rapid tests.
