Hi kaeren. Alderney park.. Was put up for sale.. Tendor. .. july 2021... Think gov want to try sell to private sector intact .. About 1000 lost jobs in sector.... Be intresting how testing market in uk goes..bit ahead of europe and usa.... Lets hope covids finished...
Yes the lighthouse staff have been incredible and how are they rewarded , out of a job. Has anyone got any info/ facts on what is happening to the equipment. There may well be opportunities for Promate sales as there are no longer staff to process PCR's in the lighthouse labs.
Is it all Lighthouse labs being stood down or just some of them ?
Expect money pouring in .
+ end to Friday , Expect more Monday .
My question is who has enough clout to get something instantly removed from LSE ??
Normally it takes a few people to complain/report before posts are removed .
I always find poidsters posts very well informed and concise .
Could it be novacyt themselves ?
Poidster
Are you able to repost your original post for this thread. I cannot see it anywhere.
@ Poidster, if this was a thread you started, I'd say keep doing what you are doing, us holders appreciate your honest assessments. You offer a frontline view of what you see and some of your stuff goes missing - while some posters who wouldn't know anus from elbow are allowed to spew their ill informed guesswork and scaremongering and it stands... go figure!
Most posters and readers here know that certain posters opinions and observations are worth the read and taking onboard. They'll know who they are.
I still appreciate all the usual suspects that are still active and trying to find stuff that that our own BoD can't or won't tell us (despite the fact I've been drawn to the excitement of Poly for a small position and some excitement). Something has to break here soon, eh?
Almost 1 year on since the dispute was made known to us (I thought time flew when you were having fun, FFS!), I think it is a shocker that NCYT have been left hanging this long on the payments rightfully owed for so long. Definite stumping of company growth through no fault of its own. It shouldn't be a case of fingers crossed but more show us the money.
I'm still holding and waiting... so, come on DA... show us your vision and your plan is worth the wait and give us something to get excited about again. Most holders from 2 years ago that are still here saw massive potential going forward despite many chances to jump. If you are the man with the plan, we will be more than happy to stick around if it shows promise.
*thumbs up emoji*

You are not a ramper. Facts facts facts.
Gizmo, last December the UK Health Security Agency placed a job advert for a Decommissioning and Repurposing Lead to oversee lighthouse lab closures . When the shortage of tests and laboratory capacity occured at the beginning of January this advert was quickly removed before any of the papers latched onto it. Eventually it was reposted at the end of January when covid levels were falling. The job offered an eight month contract which entailed repurposing the equipment that had been bought to kit out the labs. The main beneficiaries from any redistribution of equipment would most likely be existing NHS labs.
Some nice info on figures presented Kaeren, have that feeling that we could get a favourable result, seems as if things may be sorted amicably going by other disputes.
Posted that outside of trading hours as it is not intended as a ramp. Simply trying to establish if the settlement of the Ox Nan case sets any sort of precedent under which holders think we may fall or if the general consensus is that any similarities are too tenuous to explore that path any further.
What is crystal clear though is that the govt dumped contracts once it thought it had the vaccine developed and an established rollout .
Poidster , given up on threads being removed, seems to me that a chosen few can be outrageous and never have their posts removed, whilst others seem to be board vigalators fav targets.
Baby Huey I haven't got the facts to hand and now can't find the initial contract. It was initially 28 million and then extended I think
up to 113 million for 450,000 lampore tests. It was cancelled in April as was ours.
Are these the same OX Nan tests that have failed CTDA recently ?
I remember reading v low sensitivity. That aside they have been paid . Re our contract , G.M obviously thought phase 2 would go ahead and that was what the 40 million Promate order was towards. Be bloody wonderful to get the 23mill phase one , refund of goods already paid for in anticipation of phase two and part pyt over 40 million of the 300million extension. Appreciate that is a very optimistic outcome but is that not what has just happened with Ox Nan or am I taking a huge leap ? Thoughts
or pay £49 for one at a registered place, despite having boxes and boxes at work! #usa trip
see Bio have managed to avoid tr1 again?
the update better be bloody brilliant or Allmond will be Allgone! at agm
Where have all the posts gone from this thread ?
Lighthouse labs...... Always been intrested on what will become of them and equipment....
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/shopping/cost-lateral-flow-tests-boots-23565657
Many people will not pay these prices for lft's...I wonder what will ensue ?
I don't understand why the government didn't continue to purchase lft's and sell them on to Boots or similar at cost and agree a small on cost to distribute in their stores. The price could have been under a couple of pounds for the usual 7 pack and as a lost leader I'm sure Boots would have bitten their hands off to sell as lost leader.
Just think of the extra footfall in their stores.
Well said handy. Ditto
Work colleague going to usa on Monday has received her usa approved lft will be face timed Sunday morning and has to do her test on FaceTime meanwhile we do what!!!
According to Gazman's link
"the government opted to end the contract early after deciding it “no longer had a requirement” for the product"
Sounds a slightly more straightforward case than Novacyt's.
I'd be interested to know if there was a 'option to cancel' clause in the contract, if so why a court case 12 mths later, If not why just full payment, why is there no compensation.
Hope your wife is ok & your parents too,,my thoughts are with you
Well it just so happens im one of the 5million this week , im double jabbed and boosted, not been to bad with it really. Wife on the other hand has been quite ill with it, she even has had it before and is fully vaccinated , and it took a few days of negative lfts for her to eventually show positive ,even though she was showing symptoms. Now my only problem his my elderly parents, for whom i am a carer have started to show signs also, obviously ive not been to care for my parents, since i had a positive lft , but how long did i walk around with it before i knew. Thanks Boris
Hope its at 4.30 to catch all the khobs out
Just when everyone thought the Covid 19 pandemic was over, in reality infections appear to be going under the radar. Covid cases hits all time record in UK this week and is spreading faster and faster every day , with latest super contagious variant Omicron BA.2, as UK cases reach nearly 5 million infections in a single week.
