Maybe Friday 8th at 1230 it'll get announced, 1 year from the disastrous day!!!
I'd like some reimbursement for the £30m stock write off also please.
Resolution isn't just about adding £70m to the mcap that would come from the cash payment from DHSC. It opens oh so many doors for us. It would be a significant base jump when it arrives.
Absolutely Kaeren, my thinking as well.
Wonder if the DHSC/Government are waiting for the next Fiscal year (6th Apr) before settling other claims?
If it happens that's a lot of cash for acquisitions which if made correctly instantly could add substantially to bottom line profit. Therefore I disagree strongly with predictions of a quid difference.
I partially agree with you bluetiger. In the short term it will probably spike closer to £2 a share than £1 but it won't be enough by itself to make novacyt into a midcap company, obviously...
Still, for the longer term success 70 odd million extra in the coffers sure isn't going to hurt novacyt's chances is it? It's a huge derisking event if it happens.
I dont think a DHSC settlement will make a great deal to the share price - would probably add £1 a share or that range.
What NOVA needs is to show they have visibility of revenues into next year 2023/24 and that sales are not spiralling down.
To give the shares a rating (PE) etc of greater than 2 or 3 the market needs to know that earnings can be repeated forwards for greater than 2 to 3 years, once that hurdle is crossed then the stock can rerate from £3 to £9 very easily.
And make everyone here happy.
Thanks Blue
We are up over 6% on HL right now !
It will happen a day or two after the min period, and probably after the release of results?
#backtoback rns's should give sp a decent boost, hopefully!
its the meantime, that is the irritating period, #alwayswaiting...
imo dyor
I really cannot believe the price action here.
We have a huge share incentive programme (LTIP) in place to support the SP;
we have everyone from the CEO and FCO to non-execs and their PAs buying in;
and now we have the strongest signal possible from a competitor in a very similar dispute situation that our windfall cash from the DHSC will be coming at some point on a no blame basis.
But the SP remains subdued!? How many signals does the market need? I can’t deny it’s making me tense but the longer it waits, the stronger it’s going to ping when reality sets in – it’ll be too late when the RNS eventually hits the screen.
But perhaps the low-risk strategy investors are taking is wait for the news and jump on, even if it means missing out on the initial steep rise.
I’d be backing up the van now if I weren’t already so fully loaded - but horses for courses I suppose.

My only concern about NCYT getting a settlement in the near future is the recent PDMR purchases. If they new a settlement was about to happen they shouldn't have been buying. I hope I am wrong.
Whichever way you swing it it would be a substantial result for novacyt - a win and payment from the DHSC is not priced in right now, I would say a loss and a partial repayment to the DHSC is what is currently priced in.
The double whammy of payment from the DHSC (anywhere from say £20m to £80m) and the whole saga being behind us would be monumental for novacyt. Again, we have no idea what the outcome will be but today's news gives us reason to believe it might just land in our favour...
I would be looking at the figure less the VAT which will need to be paid if recovered.
What a gift to add today at this price.
Chris, it is definitely going to happen now, it will be a massive positive for NCYT.
Seeing as current market cap is about £155m a payment of £80m to novacyt would be one hell of a thing!!!
Well we have outstanding invoices of £40.8 (excl VAT) from 2021 and £24m from 2020...
Including VAT and maybe even interest paid we' be looking at around £80m. Do I necessarily think that will happen? no but it's just become that much more likely.
Remind me how much DHSC owe us again? For anyone who might glance at this BB.
Huge difference too between Nanopore and NCYT too is qe are making good profits and they are losing hand over fist. This 50m doesnt plug their hole for last year at all hardly.

Chris,
It's a real read between the lines and a heads up. Anyone wanting to seize an opportunity to double or treble their money has been waiting for this green flag moment.
President set now in a number of cases. I did say yesterday things were being sorted behind the scenes Brentw.
SP should really get some fire under it now in anticipation. What was it, over £6 straight to £3.5 with the news when it dropped?
Anyone reading between the lines here will make a killing IMO.
Expecting Biosynex to up their buying today as the writing is now clearly on the wall now with regards dispute claim if they want in cheaper, these won't last for long now.
I don't think we can conclude from this that it's a given that we will win the dispute and have tens of millions paid to us BUT... this is big news!
Was their dispute comparable to ours? If so, fingers crossed!
It isn't Valju

Thanks HP - here is the background to the dispute. Gov ordered c£100m worth of goods and then they decided to renege on the deal.
