What's that about
#ValJuisatwat imo
Agreed, it is too close to the next election. Worse still Novacyt manufacture their instruments in Sunak's constituency which may attract even more attention from the media. There will be a lot of pressure on DHSC to settle. But why has it got this far?
SP held well today. Those invested above £1 are locked in now and not worth selling up and it's the case of back drawer and come back in May 2024. Attracting new investors need M&A , and new contract wins. Remember the LTIP matures in December 2024 , so this suggests that is when the SP will rocket up.
ah...so just a long winded way of saying - you made it up....
Read line below where you stopped reading (probably because it suited) when responding!
"What if, no new CEO is not needed, because the "possible" incoming (takeover/merger) already has a dynamic one?"
what "possible" takeover are you talking about? is this something you have even the tiniest shred of evidence for ..or just a dream you had last night?
Just a thought...
What if, no new CEO is not needed, because the "possible" incoming (takeover/merger) already has a dynamic one?
Of course this is just supposition, but, what if?
No names being highlighted or bandied around, and with 3 full months gone and not even a whisper?
Makes one wonder, especially as no spending as yet, of said large amount, in bank, on any acquisitions, which should/could/would make the balance sheet stronger and hence the sp stronger?
#doesmakeyouwonder well imo it does?
Top of the agenda should be a new CEO, someone to drive the business forward, clearly the interim CEO isn't capable. We are approaching 3 months since the departure of DA, therefore hopefully some news soon about his replacement.
I don't necessarily see it as bad news , just poor delivery. I've said before NCYT should have M&A at the top of their agenda , now they have a clear run.
I note the company claim they decided to streamline distributors. Maybe now that there will be guaranteed continuity of business for 18 months ( worst case scenario) we may see more orders forthcoming.
PI100 ... the only thing the BOD can be very creative is their own salary coming out of the common pot. They could not care two hoots about shareholder value. When there is nothing left in the pot they will simply resign and move on and leave shareholders holding the baby. Regretfully seen it all before.
Great point, Karen. How do they manage to allow every RNS message to be so understated, even when they could draw out some positives? Who in the company would be composing them? If JW or JM, the tone is to be expected, but surely someone with a bit of creative flair could pen something. By 'creative' I don't mean lie, just, as Karen said, give it some oomph to balance out the bad news. Like the 2022 trading update, yes it was terrible as expected but could they not have added a few green shoots?
If mere mortals like us can see it, why can't they? Or do they not want to?
So we finally have a date. The delivery of the information was perfunctory and that is being generous. Why not something akin to , we now have a date and had hoped it would be in 2023 as the companies stance remains we believe that we have a very strong case and are ready to present our case to the UK courts. In the interim we are
..... and we will be ....
Marketing excelling again.
That's obvious
What decent CEO is going to come on board when he/she is told "you can have a healthy salary but you cannot do any M&A until earliest July 2024, our reputation is still in tatters due to the court case and our non covid revenue is some 50% lower than it was before covid."?
May as well just leave JM there as acting and save £0.5m or so over the next 18 months. Let's face it, he can't do any less than DA did (unless someone can manage to do less than zero).
agreed wbafc. the DHSC distraction is now just for the lawyers, so the company's first priority is a new CEO followed by better marketing, improved sales plus better PR. lots to do, let's hope they find a CEO of sufficient calibre.
Pleased? It is confirmation that we are strangled and will stagnate for another 18 months. Monkey still on our back so won't be trusted with big contracts and so on. Agree it's good to have a date but June 2024 is fairly disastrous. Is it even worth hiring a new CEO before the court case? Any worth their salt won't touch it as they'll have to wait 12-18 months to implement anything.
As always with ncyt, yet another RNS yet another letdown.
we should be very pleased with he RNS today , knowing finally we have a date and a end date to all this uncertainty . There were people stating it could take 5 years plus for DHSC resolution .. But now we know another 18 months and the company can start to build
PI100... you are so full of the proverbial...
You dont hold, imo, so cant sell, imo and are just here to continuously knock Nova
#Alwaysanexcuse
Fairly sure I won’t find a share which will give me a 500% profit, so no thanks. I will look to take advantage should there be another pump and dump between now and June 2024
better sell now then and buy another share that will help you recover all your losses?
If they lose the court case fully, the company is toast. We'll have lost another £20m ish by then and be on the hook for paying back the gov.
It won't get out to the general public. As I said in the other thread, do you really think the media will be open about it if it is a negative for the government? It'll be buried on page 34. If the government win, it'll be on the front page to say "oh aren't we great, we are doing everything we can to look after your tax money".
I don't trying to bankrupt this company would work, they have too much money in the bank plus they could downsize/reduce costs to nearly zero but the legal expenses and win the war
Also, they don't have to call an election until Jan 2025. Given how much sleaze they have to cover up, I wonder if they'll be able to pump out enough propaganda by May 2024, therefore I wouldn't expect a GE then.
P,B,s may be more profitable before the Court case, just cannot see anything to see sp from dropping till then, doubt any M.A,s forthcoming till verdict is known, that is unless there is an agreeable settlement.
