Who else except Awacta are still publicly claiming to be working on a saliva LFT?
Is the list growing or shrinking?
Only this one pigster
Sleep well newbies!!

That reporter needs to do some proper research into Avacta
I thought the Sweat Shop Boys had a saliva test.
A lovely find PL75, and great news.
On testing commons 40 saliva tests, 5 are lateral flow - orasure, 3m, uni of lille, mologic and avacta. Only Avacta is down as self test.
Is it true that orasure and E25bio have ditched saliva tests?
If so it’ll be because they don’t have affffeermers!!
Quote from todays New York times
E25Bio and OraSure, two companies pursuing rapid at-home coronavirus tests, have abandoned efforts to use saliva in their products. Their tests, which detect pieces of coronavirus proteins called antigens, will for now rely on shallow nose swabs instead.
“If I was placing a bet — which I am, because I’m leading an antigen-based testing company — I would say it’s going to be very difficult for antigen-based testing to work on saliva samples,” said Bobby Brooke Herrera, an E25Bio founder and its chief executive. The notion that the virus sets up shop in the mouth and produces enough antigen to be picked up by today’s technology, he said, “is far-fetched.” This is not deramping. I have held Avacta since 2012 and have increased my holding to a very substantial amount over the past 12 months. Still very hopeful for Avacta over the coming few months f
You obviously don’t know about affimers then?
Jellyroll has held Avacta for 8 years and has not heard of affimers?
Guess what I don’t believe you!!
Of course I know all about affimers. I merely posted what I thought was an interesting item about other companies attempting to produce spit tests. I listened to the Interim results live and read the RNS on the Bams research test and I have as much faith, as I am sure you do, in our chief executive and the performance of Affimers.
Quite right Jelly, it's not dewamping, it's great news. Another saliva test falls by the wayside. Awacta's incredible affimers are a barrier to entry. That simply means if other companies are struggling and the entire globe wants saliva based antigen tests then they'll need to knock on Sir Al's door. We either sign up more and more manufacturers or we'll have more and more developers licencing affimers. This opportunity continues to strengthen and grow. It's also a nice reminder of the challenge and the achievement, even if it's taking a few weeks longer than expected beyond summer. As Sir Al said, world class.
Perhaps Al will be talking to more governments......."To directly address their national requirements" :)
Er ain't they simply saying we cannot build a Ferrari using the parts of a ford escort?.....WE HAVE THE PARTS...;-)
When I searched in commons filtering for self test antigen LFD 4 names still come up. Now taking out Orasure per PL75 NYT article still leaves us 3M and University of Lille as competition. Plenty of room for lots providers so all good but not just Avacta left unless not filtering the commons site properly?
Haven’t heard a peep from 3M since mid July
Al talked of OEM deals.
Not sure if this means selling affimers or could it mean selling the whole LFD design.
If BBI get manufacturing down to a tee, could Abbot for example use design and ce mstk to make and badge their own test. What’s the difference from making an LFD with ce mark for Avacta and doing the same but with your own name?
I think this is a way quicker route to market than trying to make a new test from scratch.
This is why I think Avacta undervalued. Looking to much at Avacta as a manufacturer when the LFD design and affimers are more the Arm model. Affimers on thier own nice value. An certified LFD design which can be taken and rolled out, worth way more to more people.
Might be pie in sky, happy to be informed of someone knows.
Bit cliche, but I can’t buy more than 100 shares via HL this morning. Is any one else able to get a quote through an alternative platform? Could indicate a good day ahead or HL are ****e.
they need to read the latest presentation. Then they will know saliva works with Affimer's

slide 28
And your surprised?....HL are terrible...;-(
Point is that anyone manufacturing saliva LFD'S has no choice. They either use affimers or an inferior substitute.
If they don't use affimers with consent of AVCT their performance will be inferior or perhaps even useless.
I agree with PL75. what that American CEO said when admitting defeat on saliva LFD's and what LFD sceptics say in general These statements are encouraging and honest summaries of the saliva LFD prospects without affimers.
No wonder there is a rumour that SONA want affimers.
No wonder Mologic haven't said a word about their own alleged LFD saliva test (would be lovely btw if they are in fact planning or in the end plan to use affimers).
Blue ..
come on avact let’s have a good run into the weekend !
