The Morgan Crucible Company plc (the "Company")
Transactions by directors/persons discharging managerial responsibilities ("PDMRs") and their connected persons in accordance with DTR 3.1.4.
Further to the announcement released on 9 July 2010 in relation to ordinary shares in the Company ("Shares") acquired by directors/PDMRs under the Company's scrip dividend scheme, the Company notifies that the following directors/PDMRs acquired on 5th August 2010 additional Shares on equivalent terms to those of the July 2010 scrip dividend scheme (that is, at the price of 176.26 pence per Share). These additional Shares, which were transferred from the Company's employee benefit trust, relate to elections made to re-invest the July 2010 dividend entitlement in respect of certain Shares held as Deferred Awards under the Company's Bonus Deferral Share Matching Plan ("BDSMP").
