Maybe AVCT wants a TO?29 Jul 2021 10:15
AS made quite a bold statement (amongst others) a while back wanting AVCT to be a "Roche". Apart from the last couple of months, lots of interviews and ramps on the future for AVCT from him over all the exciting possibilities they were developing, and then, after all the delays and the product arrives we get nothing. I think now that he was highlighting within his commercial world, what AVCT could be, and effectively saying "come and buy us"
ND may well be right about the small scale of AVCT's validation holding back orders, which in itself may just demonstrate how hard it is for a small co. in this field to break through. (There have been millions of cases in the UK alone in the last 18 months but the CE was based on what, 300 odd samples?).
Maybe AVCT just simply don't have the resources to mix it at this level and its either a long, long journey or you sell the company to another with the resources to commercialise the tech much sooner?
We have airily talked about "£10 before Christmas" to "£200 ex china", with only a little tongue in cheek, perhaps that is not obtainable for AVCT in its present form?
From the Bod's pov it could be they will be paid handsomely via share options and then high salary's from whoever bought them out and would suddenly be propelled to being big fish in the big pond? Whats not to like? Their world carries on but its even more financially comfortable and stable. (On paper they are all rich with the shares they own in AVCT, but look at the opprobrium AS got when he sold some!, so actually realising this paper wealth is not as straight forward as it seems, is it?
It makes some sense to me, because this silence doesn't. AS has always been quite vocal in between RNS's and this is not the norm, so something has changed, in my view.
I don't think the experience of the abuse his company and some its staff have taken has helped when people have directly contacted the company over the last 18 months.
I can see from AVCT's pov a TO would solve a lot of non- core business problems and allow them to concentrate on what they do best.
Just my musings.
