If you think AIM is corrupt and run by gangsters, why on earth did you buy a stock that is traded on the AIM market?

ST, I said if the (2) supports went then 8p was next. 1: the days not done yet, but hopefully this rally has legs in it yet.

2: I sold 40% of my holding at 16p (fluked the 16p as it turned out to be the days high, a small piece of luck in an otherwise crappy day. ) and another 30% as it fell back from 16p at 14p

But seriously looking on this BB, I am now utterly convinced they serve no help at all to the PI. Ultimately, they become echo chambers for the bull argument. Its too typical that when opposing views do post, they are often derided, sometimes abused and almost always after a couple of posts, told to sod off.

At no time in the weeks and months of reading this BB did I ever get a sense of the risk involved. (I am not complaining because these BB's don't influence me.) just an observation.

I did try and highlight some red(ish) flags (to me), such as not to take much if any notice of the CEO and also voiced concern of the date of the broken drill as to when it happened and indeed the length of time of the drill itself. None of these "concerns" was met sympathetically.

However, any poster who was bullish whether or not a bit or a lot is always applauded.

None of this matters in the great scheme. I make these observations only to highlight that I don't think on balance these BB's are actually helpful for may members in either preserving capital or indeed for balanced discussion.

I highlighted this morning that a reversal was just starting and I got in 11.34p and now In the space of 30 minutes I am 10% up. You go your route and i'll go mine. :0)

currently 13.3 ish might be bit bumpy for the rise to continue. if it blasts through here then very positive.

tentative sign of reversal on the intra day chart. needs to hold over 11.54p (15min time interval). Took a speculative ount on it. Will now attempt to trade this and try to claw back some of the losses I think.)

Hom, the 122p was quite a support which is now under pressure. (I use end of day closes before deciding what's looks likely next), but if AVCT fails to close 122p or above then we have to go back to November 2020and there was a pretty choppy range between 104p to 116p for a month or so.

Its seems incredible, but this company with all it's promise and tech is turning out to be a dog of a share. Currently below the share placing price over a year on in, just seems almost unbelievable. There have been many positive developments over that time but clearly the LFT debacle (I don't know what else you can call it now) is coming home to roost via the SP.

Myles says that AS won't comment now until any news is "confirmed" first, but this change in tack only increases the pressure of the SP.

Still, timing is everything, there will be some here who bought in at around 40p and are still ok (although they will be smarting to from the ATH of only 2 months ago,)

But it turns out small bio-tech co's are high risk, even the slam dunk "£10 before Christmas" variety ... who knew?

It will be interesting to see when the short closes. It will likely give the SP a bounce simply by buying back stock but also it may have a further cumulative effect by giving the market confidence that a "low" point had been reached.

Its finished (more or less) on a fragile support at 12.3p with the next one (just as weak) at 11,3p.

A hold and end of day close at 14p or above would put 18p as the next target in play.

If what I see as weak supports go, than 8p-8.5p would be the obvious next support.

As a trader I would not after todays fall, "bet" on a bounce straight away, I would want some confirmation that the fall was odds on over. Its too early for me to conclude that I'm afraid.

ND, there have been countless delays with AVCT on their LFT, there have been areas where previously in RNS's certain things were predicted, Bams, TT's, saliva, which never came to pass at all. So I expect delays, because not once yet has AVCT been on time, let alone early.

On top of that, given that Covid has delayed many aspects of work related timescales it did not seem to me an outlandish speculation to look at the dosing timetables., because had it been delayed then it would have a knock on effect on any reported updates this year.

My "reasoning" was the above and also that the NHS is hopelessly behind in just about every facet of their being, and if they were "only" at the stage of asking for candidates, I imagined that the paperwork and shortlisting on who was most acceptable to this trial may take a few weeks, hence September dosing.

Honestly Tim, I don't know how I can be so negative and yet a shareholder. The only thing I can think of to try and understand yours and others mindset, is that I look at the money, not at the company. I, as Ophidian seems to take exception to, am not an expert in leading edge bio-tech, so yes, i will ask "stupid" questions from time to time in an effort to understand more, sorry but how else do you learn if not to ask questions?

I'm sorry its irritating for some (or even many)but thats what i try to get from the BB members who are much more knowledgeable about the actual company but remember, this is an investment BB, so understanding and trying to make sense of why the market prices AVCT the way it does is of use I would have thought? And that's my area of experience and to degree, expertise.

I have made good money out of AVCT to date, which I thought was the whole point. I am increasing my stake here again as the price action is saying the risk reward is starting to look attractive again.

So I do appreciate the time posters take to respond to my enquiries (in a helpful way) but if you think i do this for some sort of negative angle then you are simply mistaken.

And it wasn't "uninformed" it was simply my thought process which I was asking for comments on. To be fair you have given your opinion on my thought process but I am still none the wiser if anybody thinks AVCT will update the market before year end on initial data as AS said he would in April

I quoted from the Business update RNS. Its relevant, because it would be price moving info and the timing is important. But if no one wants to discuss this or thinks its impossible to answer, then fine.

well, you seem very knowledgeable and have an inside track on AVCT sales so I thought, if it says that potential candidates are only being selected now, means the actual study/dosing won't start until next month and therefore just wondered if you thought AVCT would report publicly before the year end.
If I didn't care what you thought why would I ask?

How do we know that? The interview was posted on the Friday. Does not mean it was "live" in fact I guess it was at least 24 hours if not 48-72 hours after the event.? But that's just me. none of us know...
