The only reason the SP went down is because of the result of the drill and now some uncertainty in the market of what comes next.

I think the delay is because something is going on behind the scenes, and I can see more chance of "Good" reason than "Bad" for the silence.

Its too early to tell of course, but this BB has now basically dissppeared up its own exhaust pipe with hardly anybody now bothering to post at just the time the SP may have bottomed and will go up.

If it does turn to be the case the irony won't at least have been wasted on me...

I'm not sure I see PI's forcing the SP down from 155p on the back of just fear and "small fry wannabe Gordon Geko's" . The big players would have just mopped it all up, burnt the short and watched Jupiter have to buy to close out the short and then watched the PI's clamour to get back on board. The Sp would have rebounded pretty hard don't you think?

The only difference is the SP. However the SP is quite important for investors, and I don't know If I mentioned it before but the SP and Avacta are not the same thing.

The market does not like uncertainty. The silence after the hype and previous missed timelines on sale expectations has caused a marked re-rate of the stock which was cleverly and expertly recognised by Jupiter in their short. I think you are in danger of shooting the messenger with your explanation by blaming PI's for the fall.

Danny, but the Fundies have changed. There is no longer £8m in the bank. That to some degree supported the valuation (and therefore the SP) last year.

We have know for years (literally) that EVE's valuation depends (fairly obviously) on it having a profitable business model, otherwise it will turn out to be the most expensive data collection service i know of!)

DM mentioned it with some frustration that a larger outfit would be making a pin cushion out of the area and that got me thinking.

I wonder if they are considering the costs of doing 2 drills at the same time?

Given the upcoming rainy season it just made me think that perhaps the dilemma of drilling again where they are, knowing now what they do, but with the risk that the same might happen again, versus a quicker, shallower drill elsewhere but with all the time taken to relocate and still with still the potential for a disappointment might make doing both at the same time worth the risk?

I can't quite square the circle of the delay in telling us where the second drill will be and when it will be scheduled to start just based on this drill, frustratingly, yielding inconclusive results. Its not that hard a question after all.

In any event , this delay in comms suggests to me something is going on the background that is more than just going on to drill site number 2. (just my opinion)

I disagree, I think if anyone is in a position to release funds then this iooks a very good position to add. (The caveat as always is, never bet more than you can afford to lose.)

When AVCT closed so close to 100p yesterday then there was always a likelyhood of a push down to trigger Stops.

The market looks to be completely discounting LFT sales. (it remains to be seen if this is prudent or not). The market dislikes uncertainty and the silence from AVCT after the hype is leading them to the worst case scenario hence the walk down.

The same thing happened when vaccines came out. the market discounted LFT sales so somewhere between 85p (over reaction imo) and 105p seems to be where the market puts AVCT. In which case this should be a low (give or take a few % points) with very good upside.
