Its ok HD, I wasn't thinking you were knocking AVCT, however if they did get a 100m test order the SP would more than double(It is now 130p and it was 275p a few weeks ago on the expectation of orders rolling in.) and more likely go to 300p plus.
It would be very welcome (understatement of the year!) but its deathly quiet on the LFT front now over there so who knows.

Happydays, I think you will find that most of the LFT froth has left AVCT. So given the other more valuable strings to their particular bow, imo, there is only about 20- 25% of the valuation is on any expectation of LFT sales, which under your calcs probably values AVCT, LFT wise, at about £65-£75m

I have pretty much posted my "philosophy" of buying & selling stocks but the biggest thing is, is to have a plan, stick to it, (unless new info materially changes the outlook), and don't ever bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose.

Invariably that means buying less stock than the gambler within us all wants to, but as you make better decisions when emotions are kept in check, so you will most likely increase your winnings over time allowing bigger bets to be placed.

As for EVE, who knows? really, who knows?" Educated" guesses don't mean much when they turn out wrong.
FWIW (and that aint much)I think that CC is pretty straight forward and if she thinks they have enough cash to get over the line, then that's a tick for me, how close are they to profitability? pretty close, so another tick. The spooked SP was simply, I think, a realisation that its a long haul. Some (me included), were hoping for a bit of "surprise" but it did not happen so the money went out of the stock.
Whether or not EVE makes it who knows, but right now at this lower price, I like the risk reward, so I'm in. Its not very scientific but at some stage, the longer you do this, the more you realise it really is a crap shoot.. (imo, DYOR).

This ridiculous leap I am making between no RNS' orders of note or updates to the market so far, contradicting what AVCT have told us through various interviews and RNS's going back 12 months but more specifically since January that leads me to think something is "very odd" and basically something, somewhere in the pipeline has gone wrong. What am I missing?

Kindness , I think i the biggest threat is the lawsuit. Its not going away and the released emails are pretty damming.

I am sure IF BH wanted this to go away they could simply expedite the case, give the opposition the info they want. prove their innocence and go forward. I think the market is wary that BH might be culpable. just my opinion

But I still can't understand why no "big" order that AVCT are working directly on as come to pass yet. I don't think the conversation started the day after it was validated for sale.

I gave 3 areas of hurdles to overcome. Do you think I have missed any?

I get the "in due course" comment but do you have a timescale that you think is reasonable?

Obviously not having certification for home use would explain why we are not on the list. (The bit I don't get, given its such an easy test to take, then why does it take so long to get home use authorisation? If it's authorised for businesses then it works, so what's the problem with allowing home use? )

The other bit I struggle with is the "airlines" remark AS made.

Given the airlines would want a cheap accurate test then there is no reason not to take AVCT is there? So what could be the hold up?
3 options I can think of.
1: Efficacy. is it as good as reported? (was the trial too small?) Lets assume not, or at least, that's the least likely hold up.
2: Manufacture: AVCT can't actually meet the order size? I would not have thought so as that would be a pretty good conversation between AVCT and a manufacturer.
3: Price: Are AVCT too expensive? this must be a possibility given there is choice around for the airlines to choose from but surely you would want to get the ball rolling and be pretty flexible.

But given its been several weeks now and a high degree of urgency is apparent on both sides, I am struggling to understand why no big deal has been done. Is it that complicated?

The demand is there for an accurate test, tick, work out the size of the order, (talk to the manufacture(s)) tick, work out a price. How long does that take?

What i was trying to say UN, is it looks to me as though, based on the current SP, the market has priced it more likely to fail than succeed. I am taking the opposite view. I recognise the failure possibility is there but believe it more likely to succeed than fail. Hence I bought in.
(The chart supports the buy in price currently). So having decided to buy it was a question of finding the entry point, which coincidently is right now so I did not have to wait.

I have also given this a time limit until April next year. (This may change if circumstances/facts change but I have allowed for a stop loss of zero pence. I am more likely to buy more if EVE's position strengthens rather than sell and take the profit. (But I can be pretty fluid on my decision making.)

I will let you know how we get on with the product itself and in terms of reviews you can pretty much bank on a very good one.... a very , very good one. :0))

Kallu, this obsessive comparison between Primark and BH is achieving nothing. I have said before I can understand you think there are better returns in a Bricks & Mortar business model, what I don't understand is why you only talk about Primark.

As a product they are in the same broad market as BH but both companies are selling different items and although there is a crossover of demographic, bothe are appealing to different wants and desires.

Do you dismiss all online clothing purchases? I am just thinking that you Have JD Sport, and Next as business that are successfully using both avenues to market with great success. There are other companies apart from ABF, but you refuse to discuss them as examples and I don't know why you only refer to ABF, when this is a BH BB.
