But given almost all the examples of this type of company actually fail, or at the very least fail to live up to their own publicity, so for the millionth time, if you really believe what the BoD tell you you are a mug.

If the trial data (to date) was such a slam dunk AVCT would have been bought out. So it wasn't/isn't.

Now we are on to p1b which CC said future deals hinge on. (Which again supports the results from P1a not being sufficient to confirm the tech advantageous enough over current therapies.)

9 months of P1b and 1 very small update. This does not convince the market that anything is proven yet. The 2-10 month timeline is simply a get out clause to confirm that nothing is particularly on the horizon, but at the same time, the phone could ring any day and a deal is done.

What the BoD are saying is that the info from the current trial means AVCT can alter quite dramatically the approach in the belief better results will come from the next trial.

Guess what? There is no money for the next trial. So, what else can they say? really, what else can CC say but to enthuse the way she does? She has to "sell" AVCT to be able to raise funds in the future, weather its true or not.

I still can't believe the trusting nature of the majority of this BB when they extrapolate what AVCT says about the future.

Its all about P1b now, because if that does fail to live up to expectations then the "beast" will likely be still born.

The market has been mollified regarding the financials for the time being but the risk is still very much here.

Yes Chris, 4 -5 years ago it was all about ava6k. The "portfolio" was very much a far flung future possibility.

It was ALL about the diagnostics, if you actually recall.

I'm never "fully loaded" chris, as that is a rookie error.

It just a short few weeks before the year end. I would not be surprised to see P1b delayed and or less good that we have been led to expect.

Again i remind you that the patients were hand picked to show off the efficacy of the the AVA6k trial after the elongated first part.

So Chris let me ask you, after 9-10 months of P1b are you surprised (mildly, slightly?), that there have been no breakthrough RNS's or statements/interviews showing off the fantastic tech?

So, we are agreed are we, that this is very complex tech and our understanding of it is actually minimal given we don't A: understand it much and B don't have remotely the latest data andf C, the data we are given is partial.

At no stage has it been peer reviewed.

Its just that when I mention I don't know what's going on on the science side I am routinely dubbed a half wit or spreading FUD because, apparently, its all there in every RNS and presentational slide.

Still think we are getting a P1b update this year? You know, the one where I have thought months ago, the data might not be quite as good as we were led to believe at the outset.

Ultimately Vauch, "momentum" is not in the gift of the BoD. It is won and lost by the buyers and sellers.

What has happened is that the design win news has not been backed up by who the companies involved were and any effect it would have on sales/profits and by when.

Again that due to NDA's may also nor be the fault of the BoD.

However, the lack of remarks made about it suggests (to me) that it is not the big deal I thought it was at the time. I agree whole heartedly that the "mood music" that the BoD released through various channels does not seem to have come to very much at all so far and is therefore to me very frustrating as I surmised there would be no need for any further cash calls.

The BoD (given they know whats coming), won't care very much for the SP short term. If they do need to raise cash I am sure it is already arranged at whatever price. (probably somewhere around here.)

a couple of scenario's:

1: more cash to get them over the line with then new info of far greater sales due to design wins and patents and all the rest of it etc etc coming through.

2: No need for any more cash as a new contract can be released and they have just been waiting for it to be signed off.

3: same as 1, but without any extra info in which case Newki, is probably right with there the SP is heading.

Honestly I think 3 is the most unlikely for all the reasons we have all commented on over the last 12 months and given the statements that the BOD have released. Otherwise I think it would be actionable as there would be a strong case for deliberate misleading of investors and given the various stakes and connections made over the year I think it much more likely than not that the good news will arrive. (imo, dyor etc etc)

I always listen to the market on the basis the collective intelligence is probably better than mine.

I f the deal is locked at 30p and the SP at 23.8p then its not locked at 30p.

I would go as far to say that the rise may be due to PI's chasing " certain" gains as opposed to the big players piling in..

In which case why haven't they? They work on pretty big bonuses and if this was a slam dunk it would be 30p by now (ish)

Hurst has a track record of terrible predictions, coupled with deliberate misinformation as to who is buying. (its impossible to know, yet he posts as though he does , so he is a liar and yet still, people rec his posts.. )

Panics and spooked markets? Could it not be typical profit taking (on all fronts) after sustained and ever increasing gains?

(fwiw as i only post on down days apparently, i did top up at just under 79p on friday as it looked like the "panicked, spooked" fall, was probably done when it moved up 1p from a sell price of 77p to 78p)

I think that part of the thought process should be outcomes.

The worst outcome for shareholders is that the company would go into administration. However it might not affect the company or the workforce at all. Bidders would come in and take the company private at probably a discount and restructure/invest s they see fit with maybe refloating a few years down the track and make a fortune. Those II's who might lose today may well do very well with the new owner(s) going forward in fees and all the rest of it. Its a mucky world and a belief in fairness when great sums of money is involved is niave

The ones who always get shafted are the PI's

I have no idea how this will pan out but PI's don't have anywhere near the full picture and to think they can "see" what's happening and what logically should occur is, imo, misplaced.

It will be what it will be but any outcome to what anyone has forecast will only likely be happy coincidence

The reason Chris is pretty straight forward. If you buy a stock you do so in the expectation it will rise.

If it does not, that means you may have made a mistake and therefore it is imo, more interesting to explore the reasons why an error was made rather that pat yourself on the back when it does exactly as you thought it would.

Todays fall is in the scheme of things miniscule and as i have already said i think it is just retracing from an over bought position which i hope to take advantage of.

If i do and then continues to go up what do you want me to do? Post that it is doing what we all expected? what does that add to the conversation?

I have said this before but making sure you preserve capital is the single most important aspect of investing. Stocks never go up in a straight line, we all know that, but trying to realise when its a proper fall as opposed to a bit of noise is for many, only apparent after the event.

When ever i am sitting on a loss I am acutely aware of the error I made by buying too early. Why didn't i wait? Was my decision making flawed? Did I stick to my plan? Are their lessons to be learned?

The arrogance displayed daily on this BB by posters thinking they have the first idea as to what is going on whether its the science or the funding or the cash burn, or the trial, is quite simply staggering and yet these same posters think I bask in self glorification!

I can't say why people don't believe and I don't care. What I find perfectly normal for the human condition is that many posters here believe others that post without knowledge, just because its what they want to hear. Hurstbot is a great example. Not only is it either completely made up or simply irrelevant, but every single SP prediction has been wrong, Everyone knows this , but still, they rec his posts as though he is giving some great insight.

Even MM, who has been shown to be duplicitous is still by some highly regarded. Why? because he posts what you want to hear. Same as Bella same as ICE, all trading away ie selling the stock why telling everyone else what a great stock it is.

There really is one born every day. Many here should think about that.
