If Jan (sorry Jan if i have this wrong), is looking for a lower entry price there are problems with the psychology.
If you have sold in the way as an example Jan has, then to buy back in on a price fall on the conditions mentioned, means ultimately and short term, you would expect the SP to rise. The "problem" with that given spreads, is that the SP could rise dramatically with no notice ie RNS, and you miss out on the profit.
If however the SP has fallen enough for you to buy there is probably a reason, a RI would suggest that sales have been below expectation and overall profit is put back and in doubt. Who would buy then?
Or the price falls back because the sales news is not as good as expected and basically the result is the same as above, maybe not as dramatic but now a longer timeframe. again, who would buy then?
Its ok buying on the dips on a big, profitable company but much, much more risky on a small loss making co. like CPX
fwiw I am always happier to buy more as the SP appreciates rather than when its falling. (its far less riskier to over all profit margins).
As always when i read someone wants the SP to fall and is long, then they really want to be careful for what they wish for.
