As I have said on at least 2 occasions now, for SGC patients this is very good news indeed. From a commercial application however it is less so.

Again, try and answer this in a constructive manner: SGC was never originally targeted for P1a or b. Why? My conclusion is that it was not originally a target cancer because of the relatively low commercial return against much larger in number, treatable cancers.

However due to the lack of expected tumour reduction or at least patch results a non-treatable cancer was looked for and SGC fitted the bill.

It now hinges on whether or not this new trial will be sufficiently tweaked to give the better overall results that I am as sure as I can be were originally expected from P1b.

Everything in terms of cash raises etc etc previously, pointed to buying time for P1b to deliver so as to fund either further trials or allow for a buy out/deal.

As that has not happened it does not seem to me a huge leap to draw the conclusions I have.

5 years and counting into phase ONE of a trial and after all that time there are to date, no tangible results other than to pick out a relatively rare cancer for treatment that had previously had none which somewhat negates the claim for the tech in replacing current cancer treatments and info collected by AVCT so as to start ANOTHER trial from scratch later this year. (Had they "proved " that it was superior to other current treatments I am sure a deal would have been done by now. The AVCT excuse that it would take too long and therefore expensive, low hanging fruit, etc etc, must have been known at the outset if the data was going to be as patchy as it turned out. Which in turn leads me to conclude it has in fact not lived up to the lab expectations.)

There have been no deals, no licences or any income within the 5 years. There have been delays and copious cash raises.

Every time AVCT have a Science day or a pronouncement and update to the market with the latest data, the SP almost universally i think, falls.

That tells me, that the market is ready and waiting for AVCT to deliver but is constantly disappointed with the updates.

Honestly I don't know what other conclusion can be deduced from the results so far.

The hope (and it is an increasing hope rather than expectation now), is that P1b data will be released to show that the next trial is much more likely to deliver than AVA6k has.

AVCT obviously are saying this will be the case but the market is singularly unimpressed with AVCT's data and words to date.

Well its holding above the double bottom of 22p which is a positive. It needs to close at .25p or higher to signify a break in the down trend and it would also trigger a move to around at least .26 from this double bottom pattern.

Could be an interesting day top day as PI's often buy speculative stocks now for the year coming. (the II's will most likely look at that part of their portfolios next week.)

In any event a blue day to me, would be a good sign.

I find your Sony connection reasonable as it would explain the lack of comment from CPX re the design win for October. As to where the cpx involvement is specifically is beyond my understanding.

The delayed launch would also explain the continued buying of our major shareholder and would still support the positive outpourings from CPX.

So, as long its a delay and not a failure to commercialise the tech, then this is an extremely good place to buy in (imo dyor etc)

When you jump in your car and it starts you don't call the garage to say how great they are. However if it keeps breaking down then you call them all the time!

I think it will go up, you think will go up, when it does great, whats to discuss? However if it fails to deliver then that leads to more discussion on how we both got it wrong and are their lessons to be learned?

When the LFT was pulled what was the previous info? What did AS say about future fund raises? When do you think this in-the-not-to distant-future deal will actually arrive, given its been 9 months or so since it was made?

You make more money thinking ahead and and analysing partial info, not just blindly following deliberately misleading statements from the companies themselves.

The only thing I can guess is that if you truly do only want to read meaningless positive views is that your investment idea/plan/criteria is so fragile as it cannot withstand any argument that might have thrown your original idea into question.

And I will take a wild stab that your great investment research went no further than the greed of hoping this will be a multibagger simply based on what other companies have been bought out for.

Cj, the problem with your "negative" argument is that it does not apply.

Perhaps if we were all actually working for AVCT then a more positive outlook from all the staff could perhaps have a positive effect on output and potentially results.

You however seem to be under the delusion that if we here all post "positive" things about AVCT(irrespective of if they are true or not), will somehow influence the company and the SP.

All we have done is buy stock in this company on the hope it will appreciate. This BB serves to discuss the pro's and con's of the company so as to buy and sell at, potentially, advantageous times.

Why you (and others) can't grasp this most utterly basic fact is either because you are stupid beyond measure or just enjoy posting garbage. Which is it?

And just so you try and absorb the history of AVCT. How did the LFT work out? What happened to milestone payments?, what is the update on orphan status? what happened to the purchases of the diagnostic companies? How astute was the Heights loan? How much dilution has occurred over the last 5 years? How many license deals have been arranged since the trial started 5 years ago? After over a decade of belong on Aim and raising around £200m what commercial success has AVCt had in all their various tech developments?

I was highlighting the anti-social behaviour of many on this BB. 25 and counting seem to support it.

Its water off a ducks back to me. However its this constant drip-drip of consensual anti-social behaviour that infects more and more of our society.

This is without doubt one of the most if not the, most rude, insulting and spiteful.

The strange thing for me, is why this BB, this stock, has attracted so many of this type of poster.

The irony has surely been lost on some here when others are criticised for "bashing" a company trying to beat cancer while at the same time wishing ill-will towards those posts they disagree with.

There are many here that almost entirely post only insults with no attempt ever to justify their abuse or contribute anything to the subject matter, (AVCT or Investing)

Most BB's seem to have the odd one or two but this BB is infested with these really, when you think about, quite unpleasant characters.

To be rude to DG as a perfect example, when if you read his history, is polite, self effacing always admits to his lack of knowledge when it is appropriate, shares links and his own personal experiences and ideas related to AVCT and cancer generally. In other words the sort of person that these BB's should welcome.

(I an sorry in highlighting you D as an example as i am sure this will end up with further posts insulting you, but if people such as you are ridiculed and not made to feel welcome then this really is a depressing BB.)
