I believe it works based on the info publically available.

I think the SP is depressed because of the uncertainty of how and when it will be monitised.

I think on balance it will be resolved in the next 6 months and the SP will appreciate.

I don't know what will happen so am not over committed should I be wrong.

Separately,

Harl was always a long term trade which was why I was not overly concerned with my initial purchase price. (Given that I sold around 30% of my trading pot of AVCT I have missed out very little on the rise to 180p either.)

Yes it would have been great to have sold out at 185p but I thought it was going to 200p so hung on in that expectation on the rest of the trading pot.

I am ready to buy in if it hits around 110p

But yes that was a howler, esp when the ADV CEO when interviewed 48 hours before said the "champagne was on ice" Can you imagine the posts on here if AS when asked how good the tech was and said that? Well, maybe its not actually working accept that all the evidence and results thus far say it is.... therefore its not about the science.

What else could it be?

Well, it might be that the market does not know when the trial will finish and as we all know AS has never kept to a deadline yet so mid summer may or most likely will not be the end of this part.

How will that affect Pb's trial timeline?

How much cash is in the bank?

What is the current cash burn?

Is there enough money to see it to the end of this trial that we don't know actually when it will end?

Will AVCT go it alone or License a deal longer term?

When will they actually start selling the tech

How much will they charge?

What is the profit margin?

Will there be more milestones met?

when will they be met?

when will payment arrive?

How much will that payment be?

How is LD doing?

Is it still cash generative?

And if it is by how much?

Has AVCT spent money reorganising it?

Why hasn't an RNS been issued for a big contract won at LD? Does that mean it hasn't achieved very much so far or nothing out of the ordinary?

All the above questions are on the assumption the tech works

Not for nothing, 3 years ago GLEN was 112p now its 450p so it has 4 bagged and chucked out dividends (which are currently running at about 8%. 8% of 450p is 30p give or take or 25% of 112p)

My point being that all this talk of there is simply no better stock out there than AVCT is not necessarialy true.

The reason i mention Glen is that 500p might get AVCT bought out from these levels (a 4 bagger from here)

What is key is timing, it all comes down to timing.

So the zealots here can bang on about all the potential in the world. But if the aim is to make money than casting the net further out might help.

We all expected the DE5 to start pretty much straight away in Jan.

If it has not started yet, do you think that has an implication on the mid year end date AS predicted?

Do you think AS will miss that deadline?

If he does do you think that will have an effect on cash flow forecasts.

I don't know the answers to these questions, but historically silence has always meant delays So I am assuming with a sharp decline in the SP the market has come to the same conclusion.

To me its logical and the most obvious conclusion. Des not mean it is correct but once you inject uncertainty into the mix people reduce their risk appetite.

How many times do I have to tell you that I don't sell all my holding as I too see the potential.. I have a core amount of shares that I keep and then trade this stock with a different set of funds. Which given its static display over 3 years has been a shrewd move. And I will carry on doing so.

I advise no one to do anything by the way, as you well know.

I do remember saying I thought it was a buy when it was 103p before it topped out at 280p.
And I seem to recall saying I had sold at 256p, 212p and 180p on the way down.

I bought in the 50p's 60p's and 70p's last year, so although there have been a couple of poorly timed trades overall I have done ok here.

But what does it matter? I am doing fine thanks. and whether I am or not has no effect on AVCT.

(Given all the bullish posts yesterday with comms about to be improved the SP did not move, so once again proof positive that nothing posted here, even from MM, moves the SP)

Some poster here said that 120p was coming when the SP was at least 160p ish. The abuse hurled onto him was great, but normal for this BB.

Well, it has happened, so does that make it fud when he said it or was it helpful?

There is an argument that not much supporting info was supplied but given the ramps here based on simply nothing more than wishful thinking that cuts both ways and certainly those views are not lambasted at all.

This "well researched BB" does not even know if there is a delay going on or not with the trial which is pretty basic.

I get accused of fud for every post I do yet BITL says yesterday:

I said all this previously with the normal responses. Discussion of potential negative outcomes are as helpful (or more, actually, imo) than always looking only at the upside.

having tried and discarding WE theory I would point out that there is a thickish support line at 108p-111p.

I was hoping 121p would hold and it has been trying to but it looks to me more likely than not that we might have a bit more SP depreciation to go. (Unless we have a rally today and the SP finishes at least at 120p preferably higher.)

So unless new news breaks I think a lot of the dreaded traders might be keeping their powder dry for 110p or there abouts to have a punt. (imo dyor etc etc)

I think one scenario is not being voiced and that is the lack of info could be because there is a delay.

At the moment we are all saying its a choice of AVCT's to carry on and that we will get an update saying its almost finished and how good it is and how close to MTD we are etc etc and its just confirmation of it going on in the background and we have been concerned about nothing.

However, historically and factually these silences have masked disappointing news.

Timster seemed to think that the push for MTD was not out of the blue even though that is what AVCT said. It was "unexpected".

That means they were ready to go to 1b and then they have to stop that (I remember seeing a link to hospitals recruiting patients for that part of the trial), and presumably re-instate 1a and recruit new patients to achieve a goal they already previously stated may be impossible to achieve.

I read (i think around DE3) AVCT's statement then to mean that the tech was so good MTD might never be attained and that in itself was therefore an unnecessary goal.

2 things then from that, for me. Maybe that is completely true, or there is, at some technical level where it is not doable and AS was trying to head that potential request off at the pass, so to speak, as he knew that might lead to delays/problems in finishing the trial.

I still think the science works and that is not the "problem" but I do think a SP falling by this amount of the back of such good news is not nothing, in other words there is some sort of fire here with all this smoke.

Given I think it works then I am pushed to the conclusion this aspect has been delayed, either through trying to get new patients given the very poor health they are likely to be in, or it really is difficult to get to MTD in a scientific way using their tech and that is causing some problems in the parameters of a trial and its auditors

As I have said before it is the delays that then knock on to cash flow that could be the problem and hence the SP

I Think there is a TU in Apri which will cover the state of play. I will be surprised (but happy to be wrong) if we hear anything prior to that

Ripley, well I am not sure its the answer inasmuch as we agree that coms have historically been poor. Coms now at a crucial point are also still poor. My question was why would they fix it now having had ample opportunity to do it in the past and even the very recent past.

Honestly I was not impressed with MM's "my opinion" of an expectation of better coms to come as it intimated to me that it was just a request into AVCT with no response, , but lets hope he is right.

I also expressed a view recently where I could not see the point from AVCT's pov letting the SP slip as it could affect a valuation of the company in terms of a low(er) offer. Its part of my thinking that AS is not really interested in the Investor-side of being the CEO.

I think he he is so wrapped up in the project itself (which I get) to the exclusion of all else, however as CEO he has other responsibilities that should not be ignored too, which I think he does.

Except its always been an easy fix. It begs the question, why "fix it" now?

As he caveated with it was all "his opinion" I am not reading that much into what he posted.

There is some promise in todays close at 21p. its been a very gradual higher lows and higher highs over the last few months.

A close above 23.5 would be further confirmation but it was enough for me today to add a few more (DYOR etc)

Presumably you and others have spoken directly to AVCT about this. What has been their reason to date for the lack of, or poor, investor comms?

I think it's worth doing Thorn, to highlight his inability to think forward, which in itself I would not criticize anyone for, but its the abusive nature he uses to condemn those views before then agreeing with them later, and for no other reason it amuses me.

But he is a strange poster. Has time to monitor this BB constantly incl weekends, checks L2 data constantly, monitors Twitter constantly, while being the owner of a building company (and my experience of owners of any business, its pretty much 18 hours a day)

Often raises negative issues on here when not necessary, usually by linking it to a twitter post. (Shorting was a particular example where no one here was talking about it other than him, which kept the topic alive and kicking.

Keeps professing to want to talk about the research so as the BB doers not get clogged up but constantly attacks posters personally knowing that causes responses and clogs up the BB.

There are too many examples of this enduring behaviour for me to sometimes think this behaviour is not more orchestrated. Still, i probably am giving him too much credit in what seems to me, quite machiavellian behaviour. ha ha

I communicated at the time (LFT) with AS and he said staff had left due to the amount and nature of abuse both with phone calls and emails. (That was his explanation as to why there was no response back to people contacting the company via the website email info function)

The people who are so angry that this BB gets taken over simply (and deliberately) cause the problems by transferring stuff from other mediums just to have a rant at an individual here which then incites others.

Keep the personal abuse out and you would be amazed how slimmed down the BB would become.
