At the time AS said the deal was a year in the making which indicates it was a well thought through acquisition.

On that basis I have hoped that might turn out to be a bit of a "surprise" gem when reported on.

However as there have been no RNS's re:orders or an update on an out performance I have reigned back on those expectations.

The only RNS that has been recently issued was to say AVCT were not involved with SVB, so if an RNS can be issued for effectively a non-event, then I can't see any reason not to RNS good news that is actually pertinent to AVCT.

Which only leaves 2 options.
1: there is actually bad news (I see that as a delay in DE5 and possibly LD is losing money)
2: Its just Bloody Mindedness to Pee off PI's (and I don't rule that out.)

But there we are, reduced to guess work to try and make sense of, what on the face of it, should not be happening.

be as pedantic as you like dryland but 29.69 is not oversold, which was the measurement I was using and is certainly not extremely oversold and as I have indicated the RSI parameters to indicate over bought and oversold are dependent on whether the stock is in an up trend or down trend.

Anyway, whatever.

dryland, close last night on HL 29.69 (with 30 being the first target but anything blow 20 being fairer to the term "extremely".)

At the moment AVCT is in a downtrend, so I don't accept the premise when RAH stated "RSI extremely oversold"

RAH so all about the science and then you just slip in a bit of TA with the RSI (which is not actually " extremely oversold" but is however close to being in oversold territory.)

Well, with that somewhat pejorative statement you wonder why your wish is not granted? (Perhaps you should look in the mirror).

But lets see... this is an investment BB. Therefore people have bought this stock in the expectation that the SP will rise.

It must be clear to all that if the company is so good and successful that the SP should follow. But as it hasn't (yet), there may be factors outside simply what AVCT does as a business that are at play.

You criticise volatility but this type of start up company is/was always going to be this way. You must have known that when you bought? Or is this something you don't want to discuss because its not about the business AVCT is in?

it seems to me that to somehow justify what has been a volatile share, but overall a disappointing one if not traded (or traded well), from s SP pov, that some posters here then try to shift attention to other stocks they know critical posters have been in, to somehow link one stock's performance to AVCT. Yet when examples of others companies fortunes are used to maybe see if AVCT follows a similar pattern they immediately say that comparisons are pointless and stupid. Personally it continually says to me that the emotional commitment to AVCT by these posters stops many of them being objective. (The emotional hook is not the wonderful work AVCT is trying to do but the fear and greed that runs riot when money and potential riches are in play.)Thats why it gets (pointlessly) personal here. well, D only thsat 108-111p is a support area and it looks like its going to test it.

When this happens, if buyers are going to use that as an indication to buy, they have 2 choices.

Buy as soon a sit hits that price (108-111p and hope the support endures and it bounces away or, wait to see if it does bounce away and get in at a higher price but in theory, with less risk of further falls.

Right this minute I am waiting for another couple of pence or so to come off because now every penny is a % and 2 or 3p will make a definite difference to the sell price which for a short term punt would be about 120-122p so about 8-10% profit

Me? I am not concerned at all.

If anything this may be an opportunity soon to get in for a profitable trade.

Time will tell, but it does not matter to me one way or the other.

The banking "crisis" is due to a sudden shift in higher interest rates with an opinion that any further rate rises would be delayed or indeed may have topped out so as not to make the situation any worse. Unfortunately inflation went up so interest rates have had to follow......

it looks as if the current business environment is causing a flight to more secure/safer stocks and the riskier ones are being hit disproportionately.

We never knew that small pharma companies get taken over by biggrer companies? Hurst went through a phase of highlighting how many companies much earlier in their development have been bought out, and yet, the best tech of all hasn't ? Why would that be?

SB actually showed that the current valuation is about right based on the article.

And guess what.. the SP hasn't moved.

I said that based on my logic, the the fall in the SP was NOT attributable to the Science, based on IT WORKS, therefore there must be other factors and have listed them many times.

So perhaps if you stopped posting about me as you have filtered me and therefore can't read my posts then you wouldn't have to look so bloody stupid and clog up the BB with all this personal crap.

If all works out with all the strings to their bow then the POTENTIAL market is huge. I can't translate that to a number because of the still unknowables of time and profits, but we are looking at chemo without many side affects as well as all the other stuff.

However as I think the most likely outcome (and its just my thinking) that AVCT won't see this through then a return of 3-5 times from here seems to me, a risk worth taking.

The difference between you and me is I know can't influence any of it I don't worry and therefore care about it, or get excited about papers saying all these companies getting bought out as until AVCT does, then its irrelevant.

(By the way how as the SP initially reacted to this most fantastic discovery of pharma willing to buy out smaller companies with new tech).

I have bought a stock that I think (based on my reasoning) will appreciate over the 6-12 months by a fair amount and in turn justifies the risk reward.

Its not complicated there is no agenda, (other than to make money) and as new info is released I may alter my thinking

I can't evaluate it PL because I don't know when its coming to market, exactly what market (cancer) it will address first, and what the profit margin will be.

However I see a buyout as the most likely outcome and I am hoping for anything between 3 and 5 times what the price is currently given the Mkt cap is about £310m. but its a guess. No one can say because of the list of unknowns that have to be addressed before a valuation can be set.

Why hasn't AVCT already been bought out then? Its finished pre-clinical what, 2 years ago?

I know, no one in the pharma industry and no one in the AIM market has any idea about AVCT and are as thick as mince anyway.

I believe there will be a buyout because ultimately the potential for the tech is huge. (Thats why i am a shareholder and have stuck with this through thin and thin thus far). Thats important for you to lodge in your brain, so try and give that some time to sink in. It will help you going forward to stop you repeating false info.

I have no idea if a buyout will come but I think the time and money to get this commercialised is probably beyond AVCT's resources and potentially its II's patience, but what do I know.

If a buyout comes I have no idea what the price will be. It will be dependent on when an offer was made relative to the time of the trial. Presumably as more evidence that it works is shown so the price would be higher, and higher still if a bidding war broke out.

I would personally welcome a buyout but what level it would be set out at is irrelevant as I would have little or no input on the final agreed sum.

I said on several occasions that I think the most likely outcome was a buyout in the next 6 months or so.

If a buyout doesn't come I think one of the reasons for the depressed SP is the unknown path to having the tech commercialized both in time and and how the funds would be raised to execute that "going alone" plan.
