Its not about the science. Its about how and when this will come to market so it can be monitised.

The options available make a huge difference to how AVCT could be valued in the short term.

Thats the point, charts don't give certainty. Its always the interpretation of whats happening to give a "whats most likely to happen next" view.

That why it comes with "stops". If it turns out the decision was wrong you sell and minimise future losses.

Its a different mentality and looks at different parameters to longer term investing. I mix the two together to try and time better entry and exit points.

(Also charts don't work in a vacuum, they are working off crowd psychology, so its always related to "news" or general sentiment,(good or bad).

The point of charts is that they are trying to predict the outcome BEFORE the actual news breaks.

yes gmcc, it is an occupational hazard when you start from a position of knowing there are always 2 options for the SP.

But as I say on balance I think the move is up... so not quite as fench sitting as you might imagine....

good start today. I think on balance we are going to have a minor breakthrough on the SP but in hindsight will be seen as definitive move.

(For someone who professes not to care about the day to day stuff you sure do worry about the intra day movement of the SP.)

CJ, its not about being positive or negative.

All we "Know" is what we are told after the event.

I am interested in making money on my stock picks.

If some here "believe" in AVCT and will stay the course then there is no point being here or reading any posts as it will not affect their course of action.

If anyone disagrees with that then all those that are going to be long termers are only here to read posts that reinforce their bias. (Which is their choice of course, but an echo chamber is not helpful imo).

They are not deramps at all. What they try to do is comment on others ideas to see if they stack up in any way.

(Yesterdays one, by the biggest ramper here (RAH) was saying that p1b would start in August. I don't know how many recs that got but there is no evidence that this will happen and AS has intimated in his interview it will be either late this year or even 2024.)

There is no FUD. Fear is experienced by the reader not the writer. So if anyone feels "fearful" it is only because they are over committed and are worried if it does not go to plan. In other words thats their problem not anyone else's. (If you are not over committed you don't "fear" anything.)

As for doubt, well yes, surely. We should examine and cross examine the bullish statements to see if there is substance to their assertions.

And it is not wrong, indeed far from it, to look at the actual historical FACTS of how AVCT have performed and acted as a company rather than always dismissing past statements, interviews and missed timelines as well as commercial promises that have ALL failed to deliver thus far, to see what the future might bring. To extrapolate that past history to assume that now everything will shoot ahead is presently only wishful thinking.

To date everything seems to be going to plan but it is taking a much longer time to deliver milestones than originally forecast, which is actually par for the course and was entirely predictable.

(And for the record the fact I am a shareholder is the proof that I expect this to be successful. That is obviously a given, but it does not stop me questioning that assumption as new info and time passes.)

RAH, didn't AS say in the interview that there would be 2 months of data collation? (I may have misheard) but if not then the trial would have to finish next month. Which is unlikely I think having only just started

What is going to move the SP north then, if we all know that the science works?

What is it that we think is holding back the SP?

What do you think the SP will be 6 months prior to going on the market?

Do you think it is 6 months away?

Do you still think time is not part of the equation?

Neut, how do you work out if your investment confirms your expectation if you remove time?

Pensions (for example) are based on an expected return over the years prior to retirement. How do you calculate what to pay in if you remove time?

1 year, 2, 5 years? Its a crucial part of the puzzle. It can't simply be ignored. Its as important as the tech.

If it is within 12 months then its a countdown. If its 5 years, well.... then its a different investment case or at least it might be for some. It does not negate it, but a long lead time will have an effect on the SP I think.

I don't see how its FUD to discuss elements that may highlight or hinder SP appreciation, but that's just me, i guess.

I agree Ice, I have said for weeks if not months that the SP "suppression" was not due to it not working.

Its just RAH has got a bee in his bonnet about inventing a thread as though anyone has said differently for ages now.

Given the fantastic breakthrough this science suggests does not equate on the face of it a SP of the mid 130's.

But if it is years away from being monitised then questions of how that time is financed through AVCT become the latest sticking point as, depending on what course is set, will have far reaching effects on AVCT income.

Until that is clearer (short of a bid), I don't expect any more than a relatively gradual SP appreciation up to maybe 200p ish, but at this stage my best guess is between 160p-185p

As you won't let it lie RAH, can you produce a post with a date where someone doesn't think the science works?

(AS made a point of saying this part of the Trial will not show efficacy as these are cancers that do not respond to Dox. This was designed to show safety. The fact that dox is found in the tumours confirms that it is working. However we don't know how much dox, or what side affects (and at what level are being produced for the quantity of Dox administered, other than lower than expected and in some areas much less than forecast.)

The next stage of the trial will determine this but that is unclear exactly when although once the 2 months or so results at the end of this trial are collated, I think it will be Q1 2024.

So Q2 2024 before we get some hard data on the efficacy?

one day you will figure out investing is not about being negative or positive it is simply about identifying risks and to act accordingly.

I can only assume that every single stock holder here as never ever being wrong, and that in their experience every RNS and CEO statement has turned out to be exactly as they forecast.

I also realise in the few responses that nobody has explained why AS thought it was unexpected that more DE's were necessary. (Which was more question, by the way).
