RE: Aim market27 Apr 2023 12:52
Neut, I don't think its Aim per se, that is the problem.
Obviously there was enough interest to get the SP to 280p when the LFT looked like it would bear fruit, and again it wne to 185p when it looked like the next stage was about to start.
Although I fixate on the SP more than some here due to the methods I use to try to generate profit, I have no particular concern about AVCT being on Aim.
The criticism of short termism is generally used on the UK across all markets including the FTSE.
I think we all (and me included) do get caught up in the potential of what is being attempted by avct.
What sets me apart I think from most here, but at the same time. I think also chimes with the wider investment community, is the recognition that cash is king and a company that is continually going back to the market for more money is going to put a handbrake on investors commitment of buying more stock.
Add in, its in a high risk sector, and then add in delay(s) plural) into the very first part of the trial, than also add, the failure after huge (as it turned out) hype on the LFT to generate profit and therefore the lack of any commercial application of its tech so far, and I think it is entirely reasonable for the majority of the "market" to wait to see unequivocal results that it "works",
Therefore its the second part of the trial that is now critical.
I think the view I am putting forward is also shared by BP otherwise you would have assumed they would have bought by now. so given they do buy companies before proven results it does beg the question why AVCT has not been snapped up particulalrly as the SP is at relative lows.
Anyway, I don't think its Aim that is the cause of the low SP.
