If you want the SP to rise you need buyers but you need sellers not prepared to sell at the low prices the buyers are trying to get in at.

Buyers try and force prices down (which is why every one here tops up when prices fall.) Sellers try and force the price up.

If sellers stopped caving in to the buyers, who always (like all of us) want to get in lower than whatever the current price is, then the price would rise.

I have only explained this obvious fact about a million times so while you might think it humourous, you are simply posting stupid things that no one else (and me in particular) have ever said.

Well, so far so good and we will need to see where this rise goes to, but its looking promising for at least a go the 2.38p recent high after the Jan spike.

It went to 12.5p which is where i sold having made 50%.

So I did not tell anyone to "have a go " at 12p, simply it was looking like the next target.

I can't influence the SP of any stock nor would I want to. I was not cross ramping as I thought that the initial ABDX rise a few weeks ago might of been on a buy out rumour. That made me look at AVCT as a possible suitor. I aired my thoughts here but it seemed to me win win as either the rise is on the market expecting better things of ABDX or, a suitor does see it as cheap right now.

You all get so precious here and seem to go out of your way to try and stop others from trying to make money.

I could understand it if this share just kept going up, retracing a bit and going up more, but up to now its been a dog. In fact a typical aim stock of the CEO hyping it up, cash call after cash call with delay after delay.

We are simply all hoping the wait will be worth it.

Actually no, PL, as I used some AVCT money to buy some ABDX, got 50% and bought back in at about as luck would have it, the same price more or less. (less in fact). But now that tranche has 50% more AVCT shares in it.

Its all about context.

AVCT was expected to have tens of millions of revenue imminently due to covid. 2 years on and another £50m cash raise and still the market does not know when AVCT will commercialise their tech, assuming the upcoming part of the trial is successful.

So yes, AVCT was in a much better place then. The trial was still years away and the test was ready to go.....

The SP is not quite as mysterious as we think.

I did say on another BB (Dec time I think) that I did not see AVCT going anywhere in the short term when the SP was 100p. I missed the spike and get ribbed about that often to highlight was an idiot I am, but in fact while it would have been great to trade the spike, nevertheless, it has proved accurate.

Until there is new data in p1b of the trial I think we have accept the SP is likely to stay in a reasonably narrow range as it has done for the duration of this phase of the trail from the very begining. (It is indeed looking like the market priced in the tech "working" through the safety aspect of the trial.)

I honestly don't understand how some get so excised over the markets supposed inability to price this higher at this stage when we have all (including the "market") been here over Covid when the promise of returns were in the billions and yet nothing, absolutely nothing, came of it. but somehow, being in a similar situation (ie great test results fantastic potential etc etc) you expect something different from other investors?

Maybe you should have done, 50% profit in 2 weeks.

Trouble is Legal, if a stock is ramped that affects the SP it had better deliver.

So a share can spike up and suck more buyers in in front of actual news but if the official news fails to follow then it simply falls back and subsequent ramps don't push the SP to the previous highs.

Talking about a rig will generate a rise, if the rig fails to come through (on time) then the SP will fall back. If there is confident talk of a discovery the SP will rise, If a "discovery" drops behind schedule then it falls back.

Sentiment is ideal for people who take smaller, quicker profits but tends to shred the nerves of LTH's

Legal, I have no idea what the SP will do. I think and hope that a drill rig confirmation will cause a rise in the SP but I don't know. (It might sound pedantic, but I have spent so long not assuming anything that I type what I am thinking).

I accept your observations in your first point, but I take a sceptical view about what companies say and tend to assume that there is a lot of exaggeration. Just because the mouthpiece changes doesn't mean the over-egging will. (I also accept that's just me, but that is based on my experience rather than just being pessimistic, say).

When i first started looking at drill companies, the more "knowledgeable" contributors would post an expectation when the company spudded there would be a SP spike or rise, but that has not been my experience. (I may have been confusing with my original view/post, so apologies if that's the case).

My interpretation of the chart says we are in a trading range between 6.12- 7.3.

I separate my thoughts from the TA view which I also accept can be confusing....

I am long on this having bought some when it had its cash raise and added twice since. I have my exit points too but its a bit convoluted and pretty dry stuff that I find works for me but is of no interest to others I am sure.

In a nutshell once I find a stock that looks like it has a good chance of appreciation I go through various scenarios to work out the risk/reward to determine how much I should risk in monetary terms.

Currently I like this stock on the basis that I think it will drill at some stage. But as we have seen that's not a complete given even after the cash raise. I just try not to assume anything and always constantly look at the worse case scenario and has that chance of it happening increased or decreased as new news comes out or SP action may indicate.

I apologise if it seems a bit negative, or doubtful but I work from a safety first stand point of preserving capital and am always looking each day at the charts and news feeds to see if anything has changed. Ultimately I don't feel either of those two states of mind on HE1, its just numbers to me which will cause a reaction as and when certain figures are reached.

Right now I am waiting for it to break out above 7.3p, which it may or may not do.

Apre, you seem oblivious to the fact that a SP can and does always have the 2 options available to it.

I try to identify whats most likely as per my op in this thread followed by:

it was 8.25p and did not fall below that and is now up nearly 25% in a fortnight.

Rog, I think if you read the rns 's and videos and interview's over the DM tenure then there is indeed a history of failure and lets add disappointment.

As for Spud, I understood there was a general expectation of an SP rise when any company Spud's but my experience is that this seems to be less likely nowadays

The ones I think who won't maybe sell, are the ones who did get caught first time around but have held.

If they have held this long I would be surprised if they sell now when it is (potentially) back on the brink of success. (Thats the fear and greed at work which most are caught with, which is why most are attracted to these long shots in the first place. imo etc)

I think/hope there would be some SP appreciation on a confirmed drill RNS but as for Spud... hmmm....not so sure anymore.

Fwiw Thompi I have been in and out of Angle over several years, initially waiting for the FDA approval. Some trades have been good, some I have had to cut my losses.

Currently I am in.
