You are entitled to your opinion DTW but you have equally no idea if this was "spurious". Certainly the RNS does not support your view.

So, on the one hand, according to you, companies talk about funding every day, on the other hand the rumour of a fund raise was "spurious"

Just read your post Yeboa. I actually never responded or commented about a cash raise until this weekend and only to say to ignore posters who do guess whats coming with no reasons. The irony of course that there was a t the very least a strong perception one was coming and as they say, perception is reality.

£27m. How long will they go before they ask for more funds? 6 months prior to the actual cash run out. Or do you think they get to zero and then ask.

Do you see with these appointments being made that maybe outgoings are increasing?

There are variables that stop any of us knowing for sure but based on what we do know, do please share your opinion

Ripley, use your common sense. AVCT perennially lives with the accusation that there is a cash raise coming.. when do they send out an RNS to deflect it?

They used the phrase one was not imminent, which means the rumours had substance, that means one is coming other wise they can say we have no need or plans to raise in the foreseeable future, or simply leave it there the rumours were incorrect without foundation.

This company is getting ready to commercialise in the near future 12-24 months on both fronts.

It was clear to me and I said so at the time that there was not enough money from the last cash raise to do much M&A to make a material difference beyond LD. This last one in very small but lets hop it will turn out to be a bargain. But in any event it made a big difference to how long the current cash pile can last.

AVCT seem to be in a rush which I think is a good thing in principle. Hopefully the execution of the plan will also be good.

Wow, how you can read my comments as negative shows how most of you are so emotional wrapped up in this stock as to have lost all objectivity.

Its pretty clear that a cash raise was discussed, they brought out an RNS to calm the market down, therefore the Market was aware one was being discussed. The word "imminent" is not a throw away word. It is clearly stating there will be one. We can argue when, but it is likely that it will be within 12 month and my guess 6 months but as I said it will be on the back of supportive news.

So a cash raise is coming and by the looks of it sometime this year. fwiw, my guess is that it was looked at for now but the weakened SP probably scuppered it.

(I know I have banged on about it but time is important. You can't have this airy fairy..oh...whats another few months/couple of years etc)

What I like is the appointment. That suggests this company is trying to put something really (at last) commercial together. I don't think You don't take a job like this unless there is the likelyhood of completing the task you have been employed to do.

They are on a trial right at the very begining of the trials that will need to be done.

This one doesn't really count in the forum that is being reported. This is just the safety. For general readers who have nothing but a passing interest in the subject right now, AVCT have nothing to say.

We believe its right on the cusp but it will be the first germ of release that the efficacy is working that this will then get the press coverage.

There are a lot of trials going on all the time in various stages, trying to do the most wonderful things.

Reporters have to target their stories with some sort of calibration.

To me this is everything that is unhelpful with these BB's and potentially harmful to "investors" that frequent them.

Once you have a platform for people to air their opinions they will take it. In this game there are only 2 opinions: the SP is either going up or the SP is going down.

The posters here who rail so often and mostly so readily about anyone who thinks the SP might fall, don't seem to get that they are the same "person" when saying the SP will rise. Its only because the majority on this (and other BB's) have bought expecting or hoping for a rise, this causes much back slapping and agreement and relaxed banter.

It's just a case of hearing what you want to hear.

So when you get the opposite why does it all get so defensive?

Both opinions are guesses and nothing that is said here will make an overall difference.

If there was a surprise cash raise the SP is going to fall in any event, so if any of these posters were in the know, so what? Its still going to happen.

Likewise, the SP is only going to go up with good news. Predicting the good news won't hinder or exaggerate it.

So as an investor, do whatever research you do to determine why you buy or sell and then do that. Reading posts here does not, in the main, help.

And think about this: If all the bullish posters here stopped posting, then there would be no forum for the bashers to bash on.

It always takes 2 and the more rampy, busy BB's there are, so the invite goes out to the naysayers.

The People who can and do get caught up in reacting to stuff said on these BB's are unfortunately the ones who are driven by their emotions of fear and greed.

If they stopped reading them then they would not have the stimulous to feed these basic feelings, (in either direction).

The solution is easy, always has been and is hardly a secret.. Only invest what you can comfortably afford to lose and keep to official news and use your own thoughts to make decisions.

Anyone who has invested for many years will I am sure agree that they made investment decisions that with the benefit of hindsight and experience they don't make now.

Not taking these BB's seriously or allowing them to shape your decisions is I am sure, one of them.

I'm not so sure, I know these stocks are out of favour now, but as a for instance Boohoo and Asos were both Valued at over £4.5b. in the not too distant past.

Currently Jet2 is at 2.72b

Hutchmed at £1.85b

Fevertree at £1.53b

None of these companies are at their all time highs by the way, and to put that into a perspective for AVCT, currently it is valued at £286m,

So a tenfold increase or even 20, is perfectly possible to be achieved on AIM.

Whether it could do better elsewhere I don't know, but if all goes well I don't see AIM being a hinderance to SP appreciation of the scale we would all be delighted with.

Perhaps the muted, albeit slight rise of the SP, shows that even potential Pump & Dump is exhausted now too. (Which is a very good thing, imo)

The recent SP action also strengthens the view that a bottom is in place, which narrows down the options for the most likely direction of the SP!

Xenor, doesn't "feel" like the price is drifting back. From a TA pov there is a argument that a reversal is underway and a very small rise to a close at 15p would be further confirmation.

I added further at 14.5p a couple of days ago. Still, its always has 2 choices......

I tend to keep stocks on my radar that I have bought on the basis that if I thought it was ok before have things changed to go back in.

The chart suggests to me a bottom had been found as the fall seemed to have stopped (or maybe just plateaued ? who knows?), anyway, I got some 1.19 yesterday for a potential bounce as it is looking over sold currently. 1,5p would be the first target

Kiwi, it was pretty toppy at 15p (there is the RS Indicator in charts that says anything over 70 suggests it is overbought and it was 76.4 fwiw I tend to sell only when it hits 80 or above as that tends to be very reliable)

So i have not sold but will add if it falls back 12.5p.

As a result a fall was looking likely and as a result I am not concerned. This slight fall has caused the RSI to fall to 68.5 so still very close to the 70 mark esp when an actual buy will be at 14p which then, for anyone who uses TA to try and time entry/exit points, will probably make them wait.

Paul, I responded to a post from RAH and then from DTW.

No one equated the LFT test with the AV6k trial, but instead highlighted that historically delays are not quickly flagged and that the past has shown that missed timelines don't go hand-in-hand with good news.

No one to my recollection is saying or referring to "impending doom."

In April 2022 AS said the trial was expected to complete a few months later. He, even then forecasting 3 months ahead, was 6 months out.

It is now open ended as with then new timeline put in place for and end of 2022 to complete the P1a phase, a MTD was sprung on AVCT. It took 4 months to get a new cohort together which as far as we know is still running, with probably one or 2 more to complete, however I don't know how accurate that is to believe as, so far AS has not been accurate in any instance on expected timescales.

Time is also, very obviously, an issue, as with any loss making company, cash burn becomes a significant factor. To pretend that it will take as long as it takes and that has no affect on AVCT is at best disingenuous.

It is not FUD to openly discuss these things. In fact the permanent insulting, personalising of posts that try to explore this side of the business simply highlight the weak counterarguments.

The fact is the longer the trial runs the lower the SP goes. That suggests that either the tech is not working as well as it has been reported or that time and therefore cash burn is an issue.

I don't think the tech itself is the problem. I think I said over 6 months ago that the market had already built that into the then SP. So it seems to me (imo), that this uncertainty of when this trial completes (even this phase which is just the start of the journey), is causing the SP slippage. Whether its a critical issue I don't know.

The update on 28th will have an opportunity to address this. If they cannot or do not, then there will need to be good news elsewhere in the meeting to support the SP.
