Gje, thats a fair point but it does kind of bounce back on all the bullish valuations too. So lets say i don't post (in this example) about a cash raise. Then where is the objectivity, given in all fairness the SP and company has been a disappointment thus far?

And again, in the spirit of objectivity and fairness it was back towards the end of last year when the SP kept reacting negatively to great results that made me try to examine why that could be the case and I thought and posted that it was therefore not about the science but probably the money.

Since then we have had 2 further extensions to the timeline and unfortunately still a very poor SP considering.

So when Rah and others kept saying that the market was as thick as mince (when its patently not), I dutifully reminded him/her that it was more likely due to a cash raise coming.

Now, if i did not keep doing that then where would the balance be? God knows Rah went on and on (like me) with his view and of course with a lot of others supporting that view. He however, due to the nature of these echo chambers never got told to shut up and bugger off.

And also if certain posters could simply not react in personal abuse towards me then that would reduce drastically my rebuttive posts.

Gje, Well, I am happy to make the bull case if you want but I think that is pretty comprehensively covered here every day by many, many posters.

I would not still be a shareholder if i did not think the risk was worth the potential reward.

Its not that a raise is so "terrible". ( The language you use to try and pigeon hole me is a joy to read....) Its just that if it does happen then it is most likely to cause dilution and a lower SP. (I know there are possibilities that say it might not, but I think its more likely to be dilutive).

I don't say it 50 times a day actually, as opposed to the total bull case posts which are in excess of that number.

I focus on the SP, as that is pretty fundamental to the profit we all hope to make. So I am aware and conscious of the potential downside, so as not to get carried away with the hype here.

I balance the likelyhood of events and buy or sell accordingly, given that I like everyone else, do not know whats going on in the background.

A buyout might be going on in the background.. I don't know, its certainly a possibility, but why now and not 9 months ago?

A License deal? same applies.

Why does the SP continue in a downtrend when the results are "exceptional"?

These are the things I consider, to try and figure out objectively what might come next.

But hey, we could get a RNS with a bid on it tomorrow, who knows. And remember my view is that the most likely outcome is in fact a buyout but more like in the next 6-12 months. (P1b results would be I think the catalyst for such an outcome)

I am not sure that the lack of side effects is exceptional, ie beyond the expectation from the Mice trial.

Well, the potential placing is pretty much the foundation of what I have been posting these last few months.

As the trial is continually extended so it increases the chances of a placing. The 2 are inextricably linked. So unfortunately for you we pretty much agree on everything, sorry....

For instance had the trail finished at DE4 in December we would most likely now have the first inkling of P1b results and no issues at all regarding funding, given what would have been the stage of the trial.

Without wanting the ire of this whole BB, taking what AS says as what is most likely to happen is based on hope over fact.

Saying he would "not expect" a future placing less than 100p is all very well but it is ultimately, not in his gift.

Its like me saying I would not expect to get any insults for this post.

All CEO's exaggerate the upside and play down or ignore any downside. Thats their job, they don't have a choice.

We however, can use our common sense to calibrate remarks made and act accordingly

There is no "blood in the streets". The quote refers to wide spread index collapse rather than any particular stock.

Clearly the market is concerned about funding.

By the way the price is falling it looks to me, (just my opinion), that the market expects a cash raise and therefore further dilution. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.

"Don't catch a falling knife" might be a better maxim for this stock presently

Just looked at the stocks you have posted on recently.

Obviously I have no idea where you bought in but as an investor and not a trader lets assume a year, plus?

ABDX is doing the best presently out of the sorry bunch but it all depends where you bought in, knowing your ability to pick a winner I would guess higher than it is now.

Must say though, thanks for thinking I am a genius although I have never said that or anything remotely to that affect.

And although you can't do maths, selling at this level 6 months or so ago when I said it wasn't going anywhere does not mean I lost money just because it spiked thereafter. (Remind me, where is the SP now?) Unless you count fantasy profits?

Harl's a doozey right now but It doesn't matter as I had stops in place and have a much smaller holding, Buts thats how it goes, you can't win them all. Thats why I never bet more than I can comfortably afford to lose. But still, I think I know what is most likely going to happen there and will time future purchases accordingly if it looks like I am going to be right (currently a 30% discount to where I sold). But its a longer term one for me and although the current CEO is as reliable as every other one I have the misfortune to listen to, nevertheless, the potential is still there. Just like AVCT.

PL... how did DVRG go, I know you were keen on that. They had plans to use AVCT tech did they not? How did that work out? How did the LFT work out? How has affimers worked out? How has Bams and Elisa worked out?

Fingers crossed with this trial though. Oh.. how is the SP going with that? has it taken longer than AS forecast? Could that affect anything?

Its very strange.... what with the market still not convinced... you have to wonder why. I mean its not like AS ever gives them a bum steer.

HD, there is no difference between a trader and an investor.

This false premise that somehow there is this constant struggle between 2 separate factions is simply not true.

There is no way of knowing who has sold what and why and likewise bought. Its just a lazy convenient emotional crutch to dismiss or think about more deeply why the SP has not performed in the way you (or the individual) expected.

What does a trader want that investor doesn't?

What timescale counts to being a trader rather than an investor?

What difference is there in your mind that would define someone as a trader rather than an investor.

Do you think it is "bad" to be a Trader?

When you sell you will be off loading to someone who thinks the stock will go higher hence they will think you foolish to be selling. Will that transaction of trading the shares make you a Trader?

Neut, in apr 22 AS said expected completion in mid summer, then to q4, then “unexpectedly” MTD was being asked for with a de5 maybe6 even 7 but unlikely with mid summer 23 to complete. Now q3/q4.

I have never said this is bad news for the science, ever. You choose to read a negative connotation into my observation.

What I have actually said is that these extensions are having a material effect on the SP.

I do get the frustration here with my posts but I am concerned and focused on how Avct develops as a company and how that might affect the SP.

This is imo quite important if and only if the goal is to maximise investor returns.

If the objective here is to speculate only on what might come next on the science front then fine, but I would also observe that this research has not been remotely accurate as no one saw the collapse of the lft or any of the extensions to the trial when guessing the outcomes.

So I look at the sp,you look at the science surely, it’s not that narrow a bb here?

The reason Harl has tanked is because they are a loss making co.and the ceo said funding would be in place in q1/q2 but now says it will be q3

How many times have I said that the time the trial takes affects the ability of Avct to fund it.

All I have stated is that time is a crucial component in assessing the likely movement of the Sp in loss making companies.

Which is hardly or remotely insightful but yet here the paranoia of not allowing the obvious to be stated is a thing to behold.

Yet the actual posters who are held in general high regard, have bee incorrect.

I think there are great opportunities here but timing will be key to maximise the gains.

Everyone can do whatever they want. I just think keeping some in reserve is likely to pay greater dividends in the not to distant future.

Just so you remember back in September 2020 when lft timelines started to slip I voiced my concern. In nov when vaccines were first announced I said they would be rolled out at breakneck speed and the lft window was closing. The following year it became ever more apparent that there was a problem with the lft and Bams &Elisa sales.

Ophidian was busy here during that time and blocked me when I queried his chart predictions saying the sp would rise Likewise myles with all his research papers on the slam dunk lft billions to be made tried to organise this bb to have me banned simply because I did not agree.

There was an analyst called Sarah who got a million recs here and apparently handed me my ass on how wrong I was on Avct lft

I said months ago that I thought the sp was about Avct finances, not the actual science working.

To date AS has put Back the end of P1a 4 times.

In that time not one ramper has called this stockright.

Even now there are brainlessly posts saying the SP is being deliberately held back with tons of recs.

Rah said the market was so stupid it could not read or understand an rns. That also got tons of recs and supportive posts.

How does Avct make a bond repayment if the sp falls below 95p?

The science looks great and it looks just to be a matter of time but it’s likely now there are not quite enough funds to get it across the line.

Hence the rumours, hence the words not imminent. Except it probably is as the longer the cash goes the more expensive the raise is likely to be.

Avct announced they had cured cancer and the sp fell 20%

ICE, actually Avct are not in a « strong «  financial position.

They and the market know they have to raise money in the next 6-12 months unless material unexpected funds arrive.

The market is ruthless when it’s like this.

This is when you will get to see exactly how buyers force the price down when the bond comes up for sale. (Imo door etc etc.)

However it’s come to the stage now that only posts about the already released science are allowed and any look at why the market continues to mark the price down are reported.

What struck me is that maybe Harl have been offered funding commensurate with the risk and they want more time to address this so as to get better terms.

This again imo was bourne out by the remarks on IM.

I think if the jd is positive for Harl then they will sell it to reduce debt/borrowing and then at the same time get reduced costs of money. Hence the Q3 “decisions”.

Few ifs thrown in there but if it pans out a decent rerate is on the cards. Door etc
