I think you are right Ice, but its always the detail. As I have said before, the "market" is more cautious than generally we are, as a result what seems a no-brainer to us lot is not always reciprocated in the broader market.

So as mentioned "amount, timing and level..." will make potentially a big difference to current shareholders (or new investors) to the actual amount of new money to be stumped up.

My feeling has been that Pi's have historically been largely ignored because the risk was still quite high and AVCT could not risk a raise not getting away successfully if OPi's did not take up the offer.

The next one (if it comes), could be different due to the much lower risk and it might be an opportunity to reward Pi's after all. (Who knows)

It was abinary play 5 years ago and 3 years ago and it was still a binary play 3 months ago.

And guess what... It is still all or nothing.

The SP reflects the risk, on a company that over the piece, has careered from missed timelines/failed drill/lack of funds/over hyped/major board changes and any other aspect that could be seen to be either a company running on fumes in an unprofessional manor or simply this is how small exploration companies move along until success or failure results.

More importantly, the Sp is holding at 118p which (and I am not one for conspiracy theories), but it feels as though the news is of a scale that it warrents a lot more than 10% as an initial rise.

So 2 options I guess: One an order is being filled and the MM'are actually manipulating the SP.....(heaven forefend)

or the raise (and forget about TW, a raise, short of a license or some other unexpected big income) is more likely as time goes on and that is just holding the SP back while more clarity is looked for. (And that should be provided in the Sept update)

Anyway, it looks done now, even allowing for AS's potential for hyperbole, the remarks he makes seem unequivocal.

At last it looks as though the data is robust enough for a genuine chance of this being fast tracked.

If that is the case then the next 3-4 months should be RNS-rich. Hopefully starting with more good news in the end of month update.

I for example can't stand Hurst10's inane and repetative posts so I have filtered him. I am amazed that anyone replies to his posts but they do and thats up to them. Its nowt to do with me.

So its just me that can't repeat my views then?

Thats the problem with these BB's it attracts different views.

And remember this, even if they did, and the SP fell, whats the point of the SP falling if not allowing them to BUY at a lower price?

So in theory they could hold a lot of stock and want the SP to rise.

If they really believe that the SP will fall drastically well, then thats fair enough, thats their opinion and view and is as reasonable for it to be posted as Myles, or RAH's beliefs.

The upshot is, they don't have the sway so many here seem to think and ultimately the over-reaction on BB's such as this to any view that does not chime with an appreciating SP is simply their insecurity about their own decision surfacing. (imo)

You can't manipulate a SP for long (if at all) if the info or opinion has no substance.

How may investors read twitter for stock info from ordinary Joe's? Of that number who buys or sells on their recommendation? and has sufficient money to make a difference? and to do that every day?

If a SP is "forced" down the savy just fill their boots very quickly causing the SP to rise. so at best its a (very) quick spike, with those that spread the rumour losing money, so why would you do that again when it cost you?

The SP is down at these level for reasons that are nothing to do with any posts from any source (independent of AVCT themselves.)

Take me, for instance no one here follows what I do and would scorn anyone who did, even though my views are sometimes at odds with the majority here.

So how is it that no one here is influenced by what I post but yet these mythical souls elsewhere that can't wait to make a decision based on a different view?

It doesn't bear any scruitney at all and imo are simply inventions made by others to justify why their purchase decisions are not working out how they expected and therefore look for (ludicrous) avenues to pretend its not their fault that their calm reasoning and clever logic was ...wrong.

Thompi, no offense taken, but it should be recognised that traders take more risks than lth's. You may wish them ill because you view their actions counter productive to your own desired outcome, but yet again, it seems to be the assumption that every sell is a trader, and that somehow we never buy any stock.

The fact is we are aware that an RNS can fall any time so we tend to watch the market more intently and focus on smaller moves to try and dodge that particular bullet.

Also the SP is not at the it is level because of "traders", ok maybe there are instances on a particular day when a buy or a sell has a small effect but 99.9% of the time it doesn't.

All people are buying and selling AHEAD of perceived or expected news (good or bad) rather than waiting for the actual result. (Why else did anyone buy into this company in the first place if not to beat the crowd when the actual results are revealed?)

I hate to break it to so many here, but we are all traders in almost any definition of the word. All we can argue about is the time the stock is held between the trades. In my opinion that becomes pretty pedantic and irrelevant.

Its just a last throw of the dice. Try to sow seeds of doubt after the decision has been taken with the very feintest of chances it gets reconsidered.

Or... the volume is low and there are some sellers banking the steep rise over the last week or so but there are few buyers and the price had to be dropped to fulfil the order.

Who knows but there is generally more than one potential reason for trying to explain an outcome when guessing.

Chief, that would be, the by now, infamous 140-142p mark.

So about 15% potential gain from 123p which is usually ok for most short termer's

WWP, I am not sure why the placing shareholders will sell below what they paid for the stock. I don't know if its possible that they have forward sold their positions, or in fact another possibility is they want to hold on for drill results.

As long as there is personal no over commitment then it's largely academic.
