Yeboa, if the value is in TX why did AVCT by2 x DX companies?

That suggests either you think AVCT are stupid by spending money on the wrong division, or you don't know what you are talking about.

Many here thought that, at the time, it was inspired to borrow money to buy a company that would be cash generative so as to help reduce or mitigate any further cash raise going forward.

1 year on it is a loss making division.

As for BP. answer me this. Why do you think AVCT has not been bought out yet? I am willing to bet you won't answer that with any sort of coherent logic.

So hardly any detail on DX except unless I am missing something that losses are increasing in spite of having profit making businesses.

My take away is (and something I expected) is that there are costs to assimilating new businesses.

Which although to be expected, I thought the point of buying LD was to be a cash generative, profitable business, but its not yet, and thats ok long term, but not so much when money is tight.

So, my overall takeaway is that the presentation better be good because these figures aint.

Its not the most water tight stock I have seen.

IMO, DX is going to be the most relevant new info. Has turn over increased (or decreased), has profit increased (or decreased).

Is it a short term drain on the finances or a driver. What is the outlook for the DX division and will there be more A&M in the near/short term?

(That and of course the perennial "funding" will they/won't they topic.)

Nothing wrong with that (I spose) but in the interest of balance his posts it would fairer to acknowledge his bias given his forecast of the SP about to explode like a volcano when it was 110p a year ago.

I'm not going back over the LFT saga. I simply produced quotes at the time that did not reflect the outcome to demonstrate that perhaps the market may be discounting some of what he says until they see independent or robust measurable data.

(I don't completely agree with his analysis of how they have let retail investors down but there is an argument to be made that they have.)

This thread was used by another poster to question others about their view of potential risks. I offered my view as to why the market might still be cautious (having already previously stated my enthusiasm over the latest RNS).

Then DTW in his normal OTT and aggressive manner manor questioned why I thought AS's remarks are less than reliable, to which I have responded.

None of this thread was "hijacked" and given the length of it only you with your silly childish bias in yet another attempt to try and score pointless points, would accuse me of such a thing of basically posting once plus one response to a rude rebuttal..

What about inking deals, or supplying premier Sports Clubs, or the most exquisite test in the world ?

What about all the self imposed, from his own mouth, missed timelines on the this trial?

We have been through this at the time but the terms he has used in the past have been ambiguous and uncalibrated when talking about how effective AVA6k has been. When you couple that with the past history of his announcements in RNS's and interviews, it is not unreasonable to be wary.

Plus there was a general question as to what the "risks were" which was the context of my reply.

Thanks LW, all that is fair and reasonable and I think probably applied when the company was floated.

Was the initial purchase decision based on getting out before the drill started?

I ask because the tipping point seemed to come when you recognised the likely hood of a cash raise pre spud and that made you sell because you could see a fall in the SP coming rather than the inherent risk in this type of play.

Now the SP has fallen, has not the original criteria for you having bought in the first place reasserted itself?

I think the risk element has and continues to be chipped away at, but until specific data is released the market has to take it on what AS says.

AS has a poor track record in this respect. (thats a fact like it or not).

If the data supports the hyperbole then funding will not be an issue but markets like to get the best price and won't buy at say, 132p if a week later they can get it at 115p say.

(Again AS's remarks don't count for a lot in this respect.)

There must be a possibility that AS has over hyped the difference that AVA6000 is making, again this goes back to the market being wary of his remarks. (It does not help that the interviews now seem to always be with Paul Hill and comms generally are very low key, and I am presuming they are very carefully scripted beforehand.

Anyway, the market being this close to the update and presentation wants to wait for the extra confirmation of what's going on now.

(Personally fwiw I think the last RNS did seem to be so positive that a corner in results had been turned, but perhaps not so much the efficacy profile (the market knows it works) as the (which has been referred to previously), commitment to get it done and move on to the next stage now rather than treating it as a "university project". That was the biggest take away for me. It feels as though AVCT are back in charge again rather than the safety committee.)

Now HE1 are drilling the clock is ticking so this looks (short of a duster), to be the floor SP wise, (give or take).

The caveat being this is very early in the day but, the SP' reaction is somewhat underwhelming.

Clearly the market is pondering something, that we have not factored in.

DT, maybe a bit more flesh on the bones of last weeks RNS but maybe thats as far as AVCT can go given the short timescale to this Thursday, but certainly I would imagine a lot of people are keen to see how the 2 new companies are fairing under AVCT stewardship.

There has been enough time lapsed for LD to be talked about in detail and I hope that AVCT do. (it would look bad if they did not. imo)

A relatively lot of money has been invested (or spent), to develop the DX arm and a clearer picture of where we are and what the ultimate destination is and what stops are on the way is necessary.

There is no reason for AVCT not to talk about this and given the TX is probably up to speed for the time being, this what I expect a lot of the update to cover as well as the usual business stuff that comes with these events, (particularly as there has been almost no mention of the DX other than announcements of the original purchases at the time.)

LW, its is to me genuinely odd, that the price is this low with all the "good news" and as I said in another post it looks more to me as though some sort of "bad" news is expected/priced in.

Thats why I think (but what do i know), a statement saying we are actually drilling and a "So far so good, x depth done on day 1" type of thing would allow the market to re-evaluate. hence my arbitary 9p spike.

I get there are a million connotations to de-risk/trade etc etc, but this looks to risky to try and trade now

Its at the stage as I said earlier, if you (anyone) think there is a better than 50/50 chance of success then take a punt on whatever amount you can afford to lose and let it play out.

This time around, there has been very few opportunities to get in low and get out at high. (The only one was the first raise around 5p and get out at 10p)

Anyway, each to his own but I am happy to see this play out, good or ill.

This is priced now I think as a punt (rightly or wrongly).

So very low price bearing in mind Spud is a matter of days away.

So if good news breaks, then the SP (in theory) will move very quickly and could easily appreciate 50% straight away.

So now, what do you do? its 9p (ish) and a week or 2 away from potentially declaring a commercial discovery.

You buy in at 9p and it fails and goes to 2p (say). Or it strikes helium and goes to 20p.

Personally it seems to me simply at this low price, to buy an amount you are completely comfortable in losing the lot and then if all goes well you can always add, but if it fails... well, .... c'est la vie.

Again, next week all should be revealed as to the smarts (or not) in buying these 2 companies
