Fear, uncertainty and Doubt =FUD. (I think we can all agree, Fear doesn't count in this context.) So that leaves Uncertainty and Doubt.
This is AIM , again I think we can all agree this is, due to it's lack of regulation, one of the more volatile markets to choose to invest in with numerous examples of at best, disingenuous CEO's et al.
The whole purpose of buying into a stock (for whatever period of time and for whatever reason), is to eventually sell at a profit and further, a rate of return that has been commensurate with the risk.
small bio-pharma's are very high risk in the success rate of their research. They list on Aim to get others to fund that research to either success or destruction.
So far so good?
If we all agree with the above then to discuss what at the very least superficially may cause pause for thought is not a bad thing. It is in fact a very helpful exercise.
When I bring up, as I repeatedly do, the LFT Saga, it is never to discuss the LFT itself. It is always to remind people here of the way AVCT COMMUNICATED with its shareholders and the greater public.
ALL OF US, based on what we were officially told as it progressed and with data from tests etc, that it would be a HUGE commercial success.
The fact that it wasn't makes me more skeptical now when AVCT report. That history is not invented, its not made up, its the FACT of how we (or certainly I) were misled in thinking it was a certainty of success.
So when things the CEO says don't come to pass then that's a red flag.
Constant time delays, changing the trial parameters, not releasing data in the way it was foretold, removing the CEO, constant dilution, regular 12-18 month cash raises, poor business management, all of which has resulted in a vastly reduced SP.
Presently if anyone here amusingly known as the 3 amigo's, tries to dot-join those facts into a plausible narrative is abused and reported and personally libeled even to say that their views are paid for by somebody else in the intention of defrauding others here. (This is all deformation of character by the way, so be careful. None of us are as anonymous as we may think).
So to discuss the gaps in our knowledge and to be doubtful on what we are told, is not only a legitimate thing to do on this BB, but essential, otherwise those who believe nothing can go wrong may over commit. (Anyone hear remember the poster Black Cat?)
Looking at all angles with intelligent discussion can only be for the greater good in making correct decisions.
We all still occasionally get blindsided, that's is the nature of AIM, but to ignore the most obvious pitfalls as so many here wish to do by closing down alternative scenarios, is imo, at the the very least, harmful to capital preservation and unlikely ever to lead to long term investing success.
