RE: FT article - H&W11 Jul 2024 10:49
Don't know FG, I imagine they do, which only re-enforces the "there is a problem" in there somewhere.
What usually happens in Audits that clarifications and explanation are required on particular details etc, and the company has to then address those questions and respond. My best guess is the way HW have accounted for profits and one question and answer session has led to another, and to date the Treasury is not happy.?
This has been going on for what, a year now? so I get its a very complex business and this will, obviously be resolved, but suspending the shares on this issue (delayed accounts) is traditionally a bad sign for shareholders.
The only plus point, maybe, is that if this is not terminal, then the market cap suggests the market has already priced in this, so if the shares do come back to life then there should be a bump?
Anyway, its academic as all the time the shares are suspended none of these musings can be accused of affecting either the price or the outcome.
