The SP has not yet factored in the full effect of Covid-19. Spain will follow Italy with a full lockdown : expect some news very imminently. Germany will follow a few days after. UK had its biggest daily increase today - it is about 10 days behind the curve on Italy so watch this space. USA still not starting testing in full - some seriously bad news to come out from there when they do. I'm sorry to all the board readers if you didn't take my advice to SELL many weeks ago when I predicted that the WHO would call it a pandemic.

The SP was as low as 512 in November 2015 so why do you say 2003?

As I predicted they would, US virus cases are now spiking. Cases gone from 541 to 994 in TWO DAYS, that's an 84% increase. They were late to the party to start get testing but now it seems they are getting on with it. At the moment the death rate is double the recovery rate which suggests there's a lot of untested infections in the US. I have full confidence that Trump can be really really great and there will not be widespread panic in the US. Michael O'Leary estimates bookings in April and May could be down 10%. I predict they will be down a lot more than that.

... in August 2019 the SP was 8.6p. The situation right now with killer virus due to peak over the next few months in Europe is much worse. The trouble Boeing are having with the Max 8 death trap planes Ryanair have ordered is much worse and several court actions are being processed. Airlines are laying off staff, refunding customers and cancelling 100s of flights. It's not difficult to see that the Sp will be 8p at some time in the next few weeks or months, and that's being optimisic. Don't believe the rampers. Strong Sell.

Also the stamp duty is double on €uro shares - worth bearing in mind.

A week ago the CEO of Ryanair said he thought the disruption caused by COVID-19 would “calm down by the Easter holiday” now airline cancelling all flights in + out of Italy in the run up to Easter. No profit warning but airline now expects to carry 3m fewer passengers this year.

Regarding the virus, I wouldn't believe the numbers coming out of China and Iran. They're probably 10 times higher. They are supressing all the news from nurses, doctors, experts and arresting citizens who post anything negative . USA probably has 1000s of cases not yet reported. This is because their expensive private health system has taken too long to get a proper testing programme started but their death ratio is considerably higher than most countries. Spain has just closed all schools and universities in Madrid and other cities. Long way to go before we recover from this virus IMHO.

Countries with travel restrictions affecting Ryanair cancelled flights : Italy, Jordan, Israel, France, Germany, Georgia, Malta, Romania,Montenegro, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Most restrictions will last until 8th April. All customers affected by these specific changes have been notified of their options of a full refund or a free flight time/date change. Italy has recently announced the whole country is now in lockdown so I expect more flights and countries to be affected. This should give Mikey the chance to buyback even more shares at a much cheaper price if he has any money left after all the refunds and parking fees. Next countries to go the same way as Italy will be France, Germany and Spain.

If you had taken the "long term view" on the Nikkei in March 1992 (28 years ago) you would still be down. Be careful. Just because they are down big right now does not mean they are sure to go back up any time soon. The way the news is coming out, the cancellations of events around the world, the closure of schools imminent, etc ... I reckon we could easily see £10 ... especially when the USA starts to panic.
