Hi aspers - Wow you took the bait quick. I'm OK with my RDSB top up (OK timing not perfect) which is down 6% (less than it's Yield) whereas EZJ is down 20% in two days. I also see big oilers as a better bet going forward in this Virus climate than airlines. Good luck with that bounce tomorrow.

After 31/12/2020 they will lose their European staff and have to replace with UK staff who are in short supply so wages will have to go up. Also from April the min wage increases from 4.9% to 6.5%. Might take 6 months but SP of £38 coming.

The WHO has said prepare for pandemic. That will mean only essential travel. We have vaccines for normal flu. Covid-19 could spread quickly if not contained. People could be carriers but not themselves feel unwell and pass it on. It's the uncertainty, not just the deaths and panic but also the knock on affects on global economies and future results. Too early to be saying buy, buy buy. Bye bye.

Don't panic but the virus is getting closer now. It is highly contagious. 4 new cases in UK and Italy has gone a bit out of control. The outbreak in Italy is especially worrying as they don't know who started it and it seems many have caught the virus with no connections to China whatsoever. Not good for forward bookings. I doubt the hit will be restricted to the Asia market and the SP is reflecting this opinion. Mikey making dog whistle racist comments that hit the headlines doesn't really do the company any favours. Norwegian Air has said its business has been "negatively impacted" by the global grounding of the Boeing 737 Max plane as it unveiled another quarterly loss.

The company said it lost 1.87bn Norwegian crowns (£155m) in the last three months of 2019. That was better than the firm's loss of 3bn crowns a year earlier, but still worse than forecast.

I was expecting a lot better from the results this time round. Summary - customer numbers up 3% but profits down 35%. Was thinking of topping up but definitely not on the back of this mess that they call annual results. SP to hit new lows.

Seems that to get carbon zero by 2050 airports will have to be slimmed down. It's started with rejecting Bristol's claim for expansion. Personally, I suggest much higher taxes on air travel would be a good idea. Can't see that 3rd Heathrow runway getting approved. Looking forward to the budget...

Bristol Airport's expansion plan, which it said would boost its passenger capacity by two million a year, has been rejected by councillors. Ten million people a year can travel from the airport and bosses wanted to build a new car park and transport hub to boost that to 12 million. Bristol Airport said the expansion would stop millions of people from the region driving to London airports. But North Somerset councillors said it would be harmful to the environment.
