Seasonal flu deaths average 7000 in UK. We will surpass this in 10 days, Spain has already and Italy has by 3000. Even the experts are saying if we keep it to 20,000 then we will have done well. I sometimes wonder if people on here ever look at the figures and the news.

... the virus is here to stay for 6 months. All the govt press interviews, health experts and statistics point this way. The repatriation flights will be finished in a week. Planes will be grounded - for a very long time. There may be some very slight relaxing of measures in the meantime but a mass production vaccine is 12 months off as every expert has said. Countries will not be allowing full access for a very long time. By October, people will be happy to get back to work and seeing their family and friends, paying off their debts and enjoying a normal way of life. They will not be contemplating holidays, they will just be happy to go to Tesco without having to queue and be able to buy some eggs and bog roll. Let me level with you - the time when RYA and EZJ make their money is summer - this summer is already trashed and next summer is already severely diminished. The current SPs do not yet reflect this catastrophic situation. If you can't see this you are truly in denial.

I won't be selling. They were £3+ through most of Jan/Feb and they will return there by next Jan/Feb. More likely £4. The High Street clothes retailers will be a different story - many will not recover. Just Keep Calm and Hold On.

That's the busy Easter Hols and Bank Holiday season with zero income. However, police forces have been told to prepare for a lockdown of six months. RYA stupidly hedged their fuel at 60$ which will hurt them big as the planes are not flying and the crude price today is 27$. Every day I look at FlightRadar and each day there are fewer planes than the day before, those still flying are mainly in USA, China and Japan. COVID-19 is set to surge in the UK now for the next 3 weeks. Sell RYA and buy something that can make money. My prediction remains at 6€.

Are you still having trouble from Ryanair getting your refund? I wouldn't be surprised as there are no end of complaints about Ryanair just google and you'll find them. I suggest you escalate it to the CAA. There is an online form. Problem is the CAA get inundated with complaints about Ryanair all through the year so it may take a while to get it resolved. The worst problem is the £115 they charge for a name change on a booking - this could be on a flight that cost £39. Saw on the BBC news yesterday they tried to charge some pour soul just under £1000 trying to get a rescue flight from Malaga to UK, plus another £40 for having a cabin bag.

I find it terrible how they're treating pilots and cabin crew - many of whom have been working hard for years. I'm referring to them offering them unpaid leave for 3 months and worse conditions for 20 months. Don't these companies ever save any money for a rainy day? No, they start kicking or sacking the lowest paid workers immediately. Yet the management take a 3 months 20% pay cut. Incredible.

Really sorry to hear your problems with 10 attempts to get refund. I'm not surprised though - RYA have come bottom in WhicH? Travel magazine's survey 6 years in a row for customer service. Google it. Budget airline does not need to mean budget service, but in Ryanair's case ... they really seem to pride themselves on a budget service. For years WhicH? have reported customers “fed up” with flight cancellations and the flouting of compensation rules by RYA.

They don't treat their staff any better: "The relationship between Ryanair and its pilots in the UK and elsewhere remains acrimonious."

They are allowed water though. That's nice of them. They are trying to get the employees to take 3 months unpaid leave and sign up to changes in work conditions for the next 20 months. Meanwhile the board execs have agreed to a 20% cut in their pay for 3 months. Disgusting. SELL SELL SELL.

Lots of Carry On Rampers on here. Same ones who were ramping when these were £15 two months ago. Every Monday these have tanked due to bad virus news over the weekends when death numbers always spike. Airline shares will take a very long time to recover because (a) planes are grounded for 5 months, and (b) people will be out of pocket out of work and gradually trying to rebuild their lives for the next 18 months and not thinking about holidays. Virus is nowhere near the peak yet but when it is the NHS and other countries health systems will be in full panic mode and will not be ale to cope. SELL while there is still some value to realise in these shares , or just HOLD and watch it all dwindle away or BUY if you're a complete idiot. So many other shares to buy that will recover quicker than airlines.
