The SP seems to be treading water at the moment, I do wonder if on Monday, when FTSE 100 is formalised a steady rise will kick in and then a nice climb when the trading update come in next month. Here’s hoping! GLA!

Hi all. Can any of the more knowledgeable on here cast any explanation of the sudden spike to 578.8 then an immediate drop back please? What would cause that?

I’m at the ready if it does fall below 500 but don’t expect it to and am not wishing for it; just ready in case. The only way is up IMHO despite the ebb and flow. GLA.

Should it go sub 500 I’ll be adding. Got a nice average of 338 on 2500 shares at the moment and feel with the trading update on 18 April and interim results on 16 May this should break and stay above 600.

Hi Stille. Let’s hope so, I’m looking at the shares trades link on this site. BTW, did you ever get that bookazine on low cost airlines I mentioned a while back? In it was mention of the book easyJet Rising by Tony Anderson, easyJet’s first Marketing Director. A very good read about the journey from start up. It starts with a Dedication “To British Airways - your high fares made this book possible”!

Just checked Southampton to Belfast. Currently Monday, Friday and Sunday. From 1st April increases to Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Thursday dropped from mid October.

I’ve just noticed that it appears that EZJ are increasing Southampton to Glasgow flights to 7 days a week from May, except for July and August where it is 6 days. Also there is an increase in Belfast from April, although not to 7 days. Fair to assume therefore that these new services have been doing well. I’d love to see Paris and Amsterdam added in due course especially as from June Southampton and Fareham lose the direct Southern Rail service to Gatwick. Southampton has excellent transport connections and if you look at a 45 minute travelling range the population is in excess of 2 million. There must be scope to add more routes. The hold opinion is my position, not a recommendation for others (but I’m looking to adding more if the SP dips below 540). GLA.

Hi. Likewise I’m a small investor (2366 shares). From the brief detail I’ve read this is simply a tie-up allowing TUI to book Ryanair flights provided it does not mark the price up. Can’t see Ryanair starting a holiday division or marketing as Ryanair Holidays (I could be wrong!). If this is the case it may be a good revenue stream for them but not a core part of the business. Totally different to EasyJet Holidays.

My “hold” opinion is my position, not a recommendation. Despite today’s fall I’m confident going forward and I’m in for the medium to long term and very pleased given my average is 325 (I only started in September/October 2022).

But up 8% in a month. I’m in for the long term so although it doesn’t look good in the last week I’m still convinced this will break 600 relatively soon.

Let’s hope the trading update on Wednesday is positive and gives the SP the push to get it above, and stay above, 530.

This was back in May 2022 and was settled. How relevant is it today? (Rhetorical!).
