Jet2 start from Bournemouth next year and TUI are adding another plane to their existing operations. My nearest airport is Southampton and I’m hoping EZJ add more routes next year to their existing Glasgow and Belfast routes. I’m thinking in particular Paris and Amsterdam. I think their is great potential for regional.

Bournemouth airport recently announced record passenger numbers, surpassing 2019 pre Covid figures. Bodes well for holiday traffic in general.

There was mention in the Times article some weeks back of the intention to expand the City Break offering and also possibly enter the excursion market. I have two suggestions on the former:

First, add a multi city break option. For example 2 or 3 nights at one destination before flying EZJ to a second destination for a few nights, then back to origin. Three flight legs, not two!

Second, I don’t think the city break option is marketed prominently enough. Most people think of Holidays as being the traditional 7/14 day annual or second holiday. I may not be looking for a traditional holiday but if it was marketed as “EasyJet Holidays and City Breaks” that might stimulate my interest. Come on EZJ, an easy (no pun intended!) change to make; put the option in your shop window! I’ve been looking at some of the option for a few days in, say Edinburgh and the prices are tempting for next month.

Sorry to hear you are down on EZY. I only took the plunge into shares in September 2022 when inflation was rife but savings rates dismal and I saw my savings being eroded. Thought I’d finally take the plunge into shares and had been following EZJ for a long time. As soon as it went sub 300 I thought it was ridiculous so took the plunge. Topped up between then and Jan 2023 and that’s my main holding but I have done small top ups since. Learning lots as I go. Got a small Wizz holding and was doing well at 1473 I think but recent events means I’m sitting on a small loss there (likewise Whitbread). I’d like to learn more about TA but would never rely on any one factor. Gut feel, understanding basic fundamentals all come into the mix for me but I’d at least like to understand TA more and at least take it into consideration.

I remain convinced EZJ will come good in time.

An interesting read! I’m confident in due course the true value of EZJ will be reflected in the SP but when that is….. I’m a medium to longer term hold of just under 3000 shares. First got in in late September/October 2022 when the SP went sub 300 but have added and now average 356. Made a couple of wrong decisions with smaller top ups (a bit of FOMO, learnt my lesson there!) and have funds sitting ready. GLA.

I wish I understood TA more! @Stupmy - any synergies with your thoughts?

@all. If you are interested in EZJ and their journey from start to floatation , “EasyJet Rising” is a very well written, informative and at times funny book.

Certainly not for a short city break!

Of more interest to me later in the same article is the addition of new route from November from Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool. Hurghada, Krakow, Reykjavik, Innsbruck, Prague and Marrakech are mentioned.

I see EZJ come out well in the above survey. Worth taking a look, no surprises for Wizz and Ryanair, 1 star!

I see Qube are shorting again!

I’ve been following the pricing on the relatively new Southampton/Glasgow route. Looking very good, this Monday and Wednesday were sold out as are next Monday and Wednesday. The remaining flights this month are all over £100 (and healthily so, £200 plus on one day) with the exception of one Sunday (even that is currently at £82). Clearly this route is a welcome addition and doing well. I

Know this is only one of the recently added routes but it seems EZJ do their research well. More to be had from regional in my opinion.

Yes, loved the workaround of buying 3 £30 tents from Argos to get round the accommodation ruling for the Geneva/Barcelona route.

@Stille. Yes, it is well written. Re the Nice mess up that’s what I was alluding to in a previous post but didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag. I love the early bit when he realises he’s left the business plan on the tube and how he eventually manages to take a copy. Glad you enjoyed it.

An alternative is to take the 1840 from Gatwick to Hamburg (£191 at the moment) overnight there and then train to Berlin Sunday (under 2 hours). Just a thought!

A mate has 2 tickets for the England v Spain game on Sunday.
