Decent RNS yesterday showing good growth and SP has acted accordingly. We are now above water on that Investment and we are showing ~11% up on our current live investments. Just need MODE and CSFS to turn the corner.

The phase 2 trial took ages just for 150 patients in multiple countries! if a phase 3 trial was to be larger then we are talking even longer!
But as some will preach - Patience is required lol.
Personally i think we are getting towards the levels an unsuccessful trial would have brought but we don't have the added pressure of SGS selling their shares. We need to be making other investments and treat anything that comes of SGSC as a bonus. At the moment we are sat on £2m and waiting for what seems like an eternity.

I think the majority of people are taking a loss on this as no one is making money selling at this level.

Good find over the weekend Dave! they did elude to a phase 3 in the initial release of results so doesn't come as a surprise.
What really annoys me is the VELA board will surely know more than we do so could easily have given more information in the results RNS, something along the lines of :
'' we are delighted with the positive outcome of the initial results and look forward to the next phase trial which if successful will result in an oral tablet that will help in the fight against COVID. We are aware of commercialisation talks subject to the successful outcome of the phase 3 trial which, upon potential commercialisation VELA expects a healthy return on their initial investment of £2.35M''

Senta, if what you say is true, how were SGS able to sell their shares in VELA due to the trial being successful. From what you are saying the trial was far from successful?

I flirted with the idea of adding WeShop but seeing as the value is not guaranteed and can't be properly checked i decided to leave out with only 'live' investments remaining. CODE is doing really well for us lately and long may that continue.
Would be really nice to see what return (if any) the investment in SGS has for us. Some sort of closure good or bad will at least give us a route forward.

I Posted the below on 18/10/2021 and the SP was 0.068

KNB - £150,000 Invested, Current Value (including shares sold) = £456,500 (+204.33%)
MTI - £200,000 Invested (250,000 Shares), Current Value of Investment = £177,950 (-11%)
Northcoders - £750,000 Invested (420,000 Shares), Current Value of Investment = £757,890 (+1%)
Rural Broadband Solutions - £32,300 Invested (1.2M Shares), Current Value of Investment = £41,160 (+35.84%)
Overall showing these investments in profit of ~£71,917 (4%)

Fast forward 3.5 weeks and the SP is (at the time of writing) 0.0595:

MODE - £316,319 invested (620,580 shares) Current Value of Investment = £207,770 (-34.32%)
Cornerstone £350,000 invested (645,902 shares) Current Value of Investment = £177,622 (-49.25%)
KNB - £150,000 Invested, Current Value (including shares sold) = £433,877 (+189.25%)
MTI - £200,000 Invested (250,000 Shares), Current Value of Investment = £185,500 (-7.25%)
Northcoders - £750,000 Invested (420,000 Shares), Current Value of Investment = £933,331 (+24.44%)
Rural Broadband Solutions - £32,300 Invested (1.2M Shares), Current Value of Investment = £41,160 (+35.84%)
Overall showing these investments in profit ~£182,600

Basically it shows that our investments as a whole are performing better that 3 weeks ago (over £100K more) yet our SP is down 12%.......

Quiet on here today. I fear what's happened to Mode is happening to us. If Mode had released all the recent RNS a few months ago the SP would be far higher than it is now. Yes, I know you can't release news before its ready but like here they were told things would happen sooner than they have. They are up 3 % after releasing 2 pretty decent RNS in the last week. Unfortunately this is what happens when sentiment goes, good news barely moves the SP. They need a blockbuster RNS and so do we. end of.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but i agree a speculative punt of £100k on BTC would have been okay and lets face it couldn't have gone a lot worse than MODE and CSFS even if it went down!

Annnnnnd some chunky sells going through too! I don't think its the BB ojls, look at the SP we are merely just echoing what we can see in front of our eyes. No news, no comms, no updates = SP on the way down. A lot invested off the back of JN but so far he hasn't performed

I'm starting to fear we have been duped on SGS now. There is no way we the SP would be this low if it was going to come to something. We have all stuck around watching any profit diminish into a loss. I still don't get how SGS could sell out of this just by saying the results show a 'strong trend'. Either the definition for a successful trial was such a low bar that as long as no one died due to the pill it would be considered a success or there has to be some data to back this all up?! SP is an absolute joke and I don't think Brent or JN have even cared to have a look at the SP as long as there is coffers in the pot for their wages. Rant over, lol

Morning All, feels like we are all a little broken in this share. Annoying as there was some decent hype when JN started his reign but gradually the news has dried up the comms have become non existent and unfortunately a lot of our investments are heavily underwater. I will stick around until we hear definitively on SGS but not holding much hope on that one now but also hoping I'm wrong!
Another week is ticking by with nothing....

Yeah I agree, MODE is seriously struggling even after its link up with THG. I do sympathise with our board on this as MODE essentially changed their business plan by getting rid of the BTC jar which has quite clearly put a lot of investors off.
We have cash in the bank to average down on CSFS which i think would be worthwhile. CODE is performing particularly well lately, up over 25% (at time of writing), great considering that is our 2nd biggest investment!

Depend what your definition of a short term view is? I know a few who have been here over a year (as have I) and the SP is lower now. Maybe Brent should communicate with shareholders better?!

Great (1st) post Big Dave. We have gone from thinking 0.18-0.3 as a starter to if we can get back over 0.1 and a dash for the exit. Personally i think this could have been manged better from the company as they have not communicated with shareholders so there is nothing to keep the majority of holders sticking around. We are an investment business that doesn't communicate and we don't know the status of our biggest investment. keeping holders in the dark has proved to be a huge negative which they are yet to learn from it seems. The slide continues....
