No mention of peer review in their RNS either but of course peer review was required. There are negatives if we compare SGS results to SNG, statistical data and lots of it! SGS used words like 'strong trend' etc whereas SNG had statistics to back up their words. Until we see statistical results of the trial (assuming in a peer review) SGS positive words are just that.. words.
Remember VELA are just invested in the trial whereas SNG own their drug.

I think it worth mentioning that SNG share price rocketed on the news of positive trial on 20/7/20. Where as ours has done the complete opposite. This could be down to lack of statistical data which SNG had with their initial announcement.

Either way I feel better knowing it takes more time for results to be peer reviewed and published so happy enough to wait for a few more weeks.

Good question and to be fair I know little regarding trial and pharma etc. But i thought i would have a look at SNG and see what their timescales were once they released positive Phase 2 results:

20/7/20 - Announces positive results from trial of SNG0001 (granted their results offered some statistical evidence)
8/9/20 - Positive results in Patients with COPD
29/9/20 - Announced Partnership Clinigen to launch Managed access Program for SNGs Inhaler
13/11/20 - Data Published in Peer-reviewed Journal regarding phase 2 results - 16 WEEKS after announcing positive results
18/11/20 - Further update of Covid 19 Clinical programme update
13/01/21 First Patient dosing in Phase 3 trial.

So this has made me feel a bit better as you can see peer reviewed results were 16 weeks after first announcing positive results. We are 11 weeks from our initial positive results announcement........

it's a shame as it was nice to see some uplift for once! As you say, news needed for this to move significantly. GLA

A decent rise will be hard to sustain unfortunately as it will be sold into. Too little comms and news from board and as soon as PIs can get out either breaking even (give or take) they will sell. For what it is worth I will hold until I know the full details of the trial/commercialisation.

Do we have a definitive number of shares held by WeShop in Boanergers? I will add to the live investment portfolio when i can get a definitive figure.

The losses of mode are being recouped on MTI and CODE so far today. we are up 30% on CODE overall. Good job that is one of our biggest investments. Live portfolio still ~13% up, yet the SP continues to slide. Can't be many left to sell at these prices as surely all are making big losses.

I take it back. I would rather our board kept quiet then do what mode have done! Bit of a fudge up over there!

The way I see it now is we are at the bottom here. Our investments our improving, trial disappointment is already priced in and we have Aeristech to IPO which I, along with others on here believe could be very lucrative. I still don't like how the board are handling things in terms of comms but i have moaned about that and obviously it won't change. Lets just hope our investments keep improving in the mean time. Currently showing 13% up on live investments....

Good news flow from Mode. At least their board is trying to get it going! Maybe our board should take note and start putting that £2m to use

Lol BigDave looks like we will have a holding of around £144k.

So circa £44k return on a 7 year investment. But seeing as the shares are locked in for 18 months this could be higher or lower come the time they are sold. WeShop can go back in the bottom drawer for VELA.

Our AVG on MODE is 0.51p FYI

Yeah bear in mind CODE is up 20% in the last few weeks and our SP has gone the other way, and that is a far bigger investment. We are in park until more trial news comes about no matter how good our other investment turn out to be.
